Went to Cobb & Co today for my sons birthday lunch, they were super accommodating, allowed me to put up the decorations last night and earlier today even tho they were closed. Meals were 10/10 for all of us! There was 23 of us and no complaints at all. Food was brought out to us soo quickly but quality was still really good and well presented. Service was amazing from all staff especially our waitress, I didn't get your name today but thank you very very much, my son absolutely loved today which I am very grateful for.

Enjoyed my meal (beer battered fish with chips and salad) with pleasure. Catering for senior citizens with proof of gold card. Wheelchair access awesome. Plenty of parking. They hold award for best lamb and steak meals. Served with creamy mash or chips. Highlight of the day which is definitely new to me, was food driven to your table by a mechanical robot, then served to you by a waiter. Waiters extremely polite attending to your whims with a smile. Enjoyment provided for children by means of free computer games and puzzles with pencils on the back of your placemats. Wonderful for families with or without children. Plenty room provided between tables. I certainly enjoyed my time there.

Came for entree, dinner and drinks. Service was average. A bit confusing with the robots delivering the food yet still requiring a server to be with the robot. The food was okay, not served hot and not anything spectacular. The drinks however were delicious!

Fantastic service, oh so delicious food with a great variety. Good pricing as well. Best of all being, they have robots delivering your food. What an experience.

Such great food. My first time here. Was absolutely amazing from the staff to the welcoming environment! Everyone we were served by were/ are so lovley and humble. I'm definitely planning on going back. The food portions are also very good, very filling!!

Definitely don't go off by the reviews this place has exceptional food exceptional customer service and overall great atmosphere for yourself and the whole family we had the Ribs soft jucy succulent pieces of mouth watering meat that burst in your mouth with every bite and the sauce to go with it 10/10 burgers are delicious and salads are fresh and the pork belly was moist and that crackle was fantastic! Bang for your buck and the robots that serve you your meals are out of this world can't wait to be back in rotorua for another cobb n co awesome experience cheers

Friendly staff that invited us in and shown us to our seat. Did an online reservation. Quite intuitive and made reminders closer to the time. The restaurant was family friendly. The meals were enjoyed by all. Portion size were big so well worth the money. Meals were delivered by a robot. Very novel. Check it out.

Food prices a little pricey for the amount of food. The food was well cooked and taste lovely but not amazing. Staff very friendly. Good place for catching up with friends and family.

We returned to Cobb & Co for family dinner after many many years. The meals are reasonable price. The kids loved their fancy drinks and nice meal. The chicken salad was tasty and my fish was cooked perfectly. It's definitely a family restaurant. Their robot serving machine is definitely a highlight.

I haven't been to a Cobb & Co for over 30 years, as I have been out of the country. I had fond memories of the Cobb back then, I was totally impressed with how they have continued to provide value for money and a great tasting meal. Thank you for experience. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great meal & atmosphere, don't look any further than the old Cobb & Co.

Decided to visit, since it haven’t been since I was a kid. Pork Belly was yummy, staff were friendly, and food didn’t take too long to arrive either

Was great service with Beautiful smiles, they were busy but were running so well together. Not much waiting and the food was great! Our 2babes had a great experience aswell.

What a beautiful night came for dinner had chicken fettuccine hubby had steak and mash and son had chicken tenders kids omgsh absolutely stunning food. Not forgetting the beautiful staff u had on. So warm so comfortable and just out right amazing. I don't ever get time out but the one time I did it was amazing. Keep up the massive work your staff food atmosphere was on point 5 stars Cobb n Co Rotorua u deserve it.

Had a lovley meal at this restaurant I recommend the apricot chicken, very filling , my partner ordered the Lamb rump steak which was lovely we both had salad in our meals and we didnt enjoy the salad dressing. The only disappointing thing was how very little the portion size of the hot chips was, for the price you pay for. The chips were served in this tiny basket dont be fooled by the image I have included to this review as this is a close up shot. The service was ok.

I always order the Ribs for my grandpa, now if you know my grandpa, you would know that he is quite picky at times but these ribs have him hooked! Delivery is also very efficient! <br/>

Went last night with family for dinner. 5/5 stars - Food was excellent, fresh and brought to you fast! Didn't mind paying the price for food quality food and service!!. Staff were prompt, friendly and dedicated to good service. Place was clean and lovely table dining area with private cubicle areas. Will be back gain

Steak is not hot... so cold... even chips are hotter than steak...not grilled 1 second grilled and go to oven for warm

Food was good, except for the cauliflower which was raw, and hard. took over an hour to arrive .Also our plates were not cleared after each course, and they just put out food down amongst it. Had to ask for them to be cleared. Reception staff were very friendly and professional

I am a little disappointed at the outcome of the meals I ordered, I ordered the roast meal, it came cold and mostly chewy fat. The staff were nice but took a very long time when we were ready to be served and when we were ready to pay. I believe that for over $100 worth of food the meals were horrible. Not to happy on my side.

Food came an hour late, cold and wasn’t very nice in my opinion!? Unfortunately still got fully charged. 😕 Staff weren’t friendly when being serviced too. Wouldn’t recommend

Food well below expectations considering the high price paid. Burger patty seemed to be out of a bulk pack of meat patties you can get from pack and save. Same with the soup of the day and the fries. Buffalo wings are not real buffalo wings. Felt like I got ripped off going here, will never go back. If I wanted burger quality and chips quality on par with a $6 fish and chip takeaway shop burger I would go there.

We always come here, when visiting Rotorua. Usually quite busy, but not noisy. Warm cozy atmosphere, Super Friendly staff, timely service, great food. Most enjoyable family experience. Value for money.

Went here for holiday at winter. Great atmosphere, heater is a little to hot though. Extremely good steak. Excellent service, but the price is a little over. Overall it's worth it and very good.

We are actually looking for a different kind of lunch in Rotorua, we normally go to good old fast food places. We ordered the fettuccini with chicken and bacon, Southern smoked ribs with fries. The fettuccini was really cheesy and tasty while the ribs are great with their homemade sauce. Although the ribs has a bit less meat but still “sweet as”. We also ordered chocolate sundae which is alot for one and potato wedges which is too much after finishing the ribs.

Came here from Auckland and I had never been! <br/>Food - The ribs were OK not the best I have tasted and a bit overpriced compared to how tasty it was.<br/><br/>I ordered the apricot chicken with baked potato (with sour cream) and salad and a side of mushroom sauce<br/>Pro’s - would definitely come back here only for the mushroom sauce it was the best thing I ordered and the salad was dressed well also which was nice. <br/>Cons - I didn’t like the baked potato I think mash would go better with the dish.<br/>Chicken was OK but probably not order it again. <br/><br/>Ambience -<br/>This place is definitely family friendly there is a game space the kids can play in until the meals arrived and the waitresses were always smiling and really friendly to the kids which is so nice. The desserts were ok I loved the chocolate cake. <br/><br/>My review is based on the service, whether it was family friendly and how quick the food arrived (under 30mins and it was a full house!) if anything was wrong with the above I would of given a 3

Went there for a weekend get away from Auckland. Was greeted by a friendly waitress, service is excellent. Food is good. Haven’t tried the Auckland branch as it is closed down so glad to try the Rotorua branch. Will visit again if I go to Rotorua.

Outstanding service from all the lovely ladies for our recent dinner meal here. The two ladies looking after us consistently checked in during the course of our meal, cleared plates promptly and provided great recommendations. Chips with the meal were cooked to perfection. Steaks cooked well but you will need to add pepper and salt - it also could have been rested more before being served. Ribs were tasty and big, was so good. The stand out were their sticky date pudding dessert and Toblerone cocktail drink. I was very pleased with my meal here.

We decided to grab something to eat for lunch early on a Monday afternoon on our way up the coast. The warmly lit, homely atmosphere reflected in both the type of food and the interactions with the wonderful service staff.<br/><br/>The menu consisted of a number of roast, steak seafood and pasta meals - what you would expect at any other family restaurant. I ordered the fettuccine and decided to try the sniztchel. The fettuccine was delicious. Creamy with a slight tomato tang and delicate cheese slices melted ontop. The beef schizchel was less impressive. Although well cooked, the mix of bacon, beef slices, the choice of cheese was a strange combination.<br/><br/>Portions I'd tasted of my friends' meals ranged from excellent to pretty good. None of the meals were bad, although a few meals were just ok.<br/><br/>The service staff were friendly, warm and very accommodating. This place is perfect to take the family out to dinner, while still maintaing a home-cooked, family atmosphere. We came for a meal, we'd come again for the service.

Food taste good, but we wait almost one hour after order although few customers. 10minutes after we reminder waitress to double check comes the food.<br/>Children friendly.

Great family resturant, went on Friday nite with a toddler, food was yummy we had a ceaser salad a burger and kidz meal, service was great, from order to table took 15mins, kids pack and play area was fantastic, place was clean and fresh. Was reluctant to go at first, but has been modernized and decor revamped, would definitely go again! Go job cobb inn co rotorua

Food was good but not excellent restaurant was busy but food came out very quickly. It was good value for money staff friendly and accomodating. Good place to take kids. I'd go back but will probably try something else next time

Service was good and very speedy which was something we were hoping for and on a very busy Christmas Eve we were surprised. <br/>The chicken ceaser salad was mammoth sized with a ridiculous amount of lettuce. The egg was slightly undercooked and I found only one small anchovy.<br/>The beef shnitzel and chips was soggy and wasn't enjoyable. <br/>The girls on the floor did a really good job and made us feel very well looked after.

Just drove into Rotorua after a tiring 3.5 hour drive from Auckland and the carnivore in me was on the prowl looking for some fresh carcass to feed on and I had my cross-hairs set on some Angus Beef OR some fine Pork Ribs and that's when I stumbled upon "Cobb & Co". <br/><br/>A bar painted in matt-black, reminiscent of some Texan Bar & Grill I had been to; this place was quiet (at least during the time I chose to visit) and the server was eager to assist, in helping me choose the best available wine and since I had already made up my mind about what I wanted to devour; imagine my delight when I found the confluence of both the steak and ribs arriving as one combo. As always, I elected for my steak to be done "medium-well" and owing to my restricted carb intake diet paradigm, I relinquished my fries and voted for the steamed veggies in lieu thereof. The steak was beautifully done with that mild pink at its center and I must admit that I was compelled to unashamedly order 2 additional helpings of their mushroom-pepper sauce to douse my steak with, which to say the least would have one make a beeline straight to the confessional, since it was so sinfully delicious. The restaurant server (Rohan was his name if my ever-deteriorating memory serves me right) who doubled up as my sommelier; informed me that "Volcanic Hills" was one of the best available local reds (Pinot Noir) that Rotorua had to offer and was indeed worth trying and boy was he "spot on". Purported to exude a bouquet of Dark Berries, Cherries & Spices, I could perceive more of the berries and cherries and none of the spice; but I got to admit that there was a rich creamy mouthfeel reminiscent of butter and albeit a tad too dry; the fruity notes of the berries stood out and overall the wine was quite well-balanced. <br/><br/>The dramatis personæ that ended up on our platter are as set out below; <br/><br/>1. Cobb Carnivore (Angus Beef with Mushroom Pepper Sauce & Pork Ribs in BBQ Sauce with Frisée Lettuce Salad & Steamed Veggies on the side<br/>2. Buffalo Wings<br/>3. Wedges with the Works<br/>4. Roast of the day (Pork)<br/>5. Coconut Chicken with Coconut Sauce. <br/>6. Coach Burger<br/><br/>From amongst the foregoing, the chef d'oeuvre was undoubtedly the "Cobb Carnivore" followed closely by the "Coconut Chicken". In essence, this is a "must-visit feeding ground", if you swing by Rotorua... that is... and is for the self-indulgent carnivore looking for quality fodder. <br/><br/>Well done... Cobb & Co... Bravo...!!!

Hubby and I were visiting Rotorua and came across this classic bar and grill (seeing as we are from Auckland we hadn't seen one in quite sometime) so we just walked in and even though they were fully booked the most polite hostess assured us a table within 30mins so we were kindly asked to wait in the bar area. not too long later we were called to a table and served straight away but another very polite waitress. she took our order promptly and within a few minutes we were already served our starter. we had the buffalo wings (not so big but still yummy) and soon after our mains came to the table. both hubby and i had the rump steak. cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce was so delicious. we looked over at our neighbors dishes and they had ordered the ribs which looked amazing and HUGE! (must try next time. we really enjoyed our meals and they were super filling. would totally recommend this Iconic restaurant. if i had to point out any flaws it would only be the presentation of our steak meals however all the other dishes we saw looked pretty good to us. thumbs up Cobb & Co. Rotorua. your service was exceptional.

2nd time at this place and I must say I was extremely disappointed and disgusted with the food and service. We had made reservations and got there on time and had to wait 40 minutes for them to get our table ready which means they hadn't even reserved our table. We finally got seated. The waiter came an additional 15 mins later we ordered the buffalo wings. Nothing special with taste and took 45 mins to come out. The waiter then came back to check on our food and we ordered mains. We then waited nearly 1 and a half hours for our food !!!!! The whole time our waiter never brought us water or asked if we would like anything else to drink. My partner finally went to the bar and ordered some water and a drink which came out 20 mins later just as our mains came out after our long wait. I got the prawn and parmesan steak medium with mash. It came out Luke warm. The steak was absolutely murdered and was overdone and dry, prawns over cooked and it came with chips not mash. Yuck! My partner ordered the ribs medium size and half of them were burnt and didn't fall off the bone like it should, his mash was yuck and Luke warm. I am disgusted that we paid 86$ for shit service and food. Will never be back. The last time we were here we couldn't wait to come back but now we will<br/>Never be back. We got our drinks paid for from them for the long wait to be seated but this does not make up for our money spent and time wasted at this place. I know they were busy but if you are going to charge that much Jesus! Work it out. Offer discounts when customers aren't happy. Check on them every once and a while and learn some customer service! Total disappointment!!!!

Meal was nice.. My sons Chicken Alexander was ok except the potato was dry.. Maybe more variety on the desserts other than that it was great and my kids were happy😀😀

A childhood classic full of nostalgia! The staff were friendly and service was quick. There were plenty of options on the menu (including old favourites!). I ordered the Hoover Hogg which was nice but unfortunately the crackle wasn't crispy at all. The absolute highlight of my meal was the sticky date pudding - hands down the best I've ever had in my life. Big call I know, but so so good!

It was quite nostalgic to come to cobb & Co to eat the cobb chips and have a glass of traffic lights or pink panther. <br/><br/>Service was nice even though the place was empty. The food was good. Thay had free WiFi and a games corner for kids including a couple of playstations.

Down in Rotorua for a holiday, the family and I decided to go to Cobb & Co. for dinner as my parents had fond memories. I can't say that the memories will continue to be fond following our dinner.<br/><br/>Service wise, the place was great. Having not made a reservation we walked into a very busy restaurant expecting to be turned away, however, a very nice waiter managed to find us a table. The wait staff were great and clearly trying their best to serve a very busy restaurant without enough staff.<br/><br/>Food wise, however, the place wasn't so good. I got a beef schnitzel. The ham inside was entirely overpowering and their was far too much cheese. I'm a BIG cheese fan but this was sickly. The favorite part of my meal was the chips which I am sure are the same I buy from the supermarket.<br/><br/>Added to that, the meal took an hour to arrive.

Absolutely amazing food and service, will definitely be back!! The employees and manager were very kind. The food was certainly up to a good standard and the entire restaurant was very clean and well set out. cant wait to be back!

I've been here 5 times already the service and quality kept on deteriorating, tonight we had dinner there for a mate's birthday and we waited for almost 2 hours for our food. No one even came back to apologise for the wait and to tell us how much longer we have to wait or even just to see if there's anything else we need like another bottle of water atleast. Considering they were not busy too. When our food arrived they were all cold even the sauce were cold. Also i've noticed that their serving portions decreased. Huge difference from when we first dined there to tonight's experience. Not going back there anymore. And not to forget the guy who cleared our table didn't even say excuse at all to anyone, he just grabbed the plates didn't even say a word. However the lady who served us as well was so friendly and polite and enthusiastic just how a great hostess is, still not going back tho. Not worth the money.

Been to Cobb in Tauranga so had the kids with me and came here.<br/>There's a bar side in this one which looked cool but we took a booth.<br/>My kids reckon you console games are better than Taurangas hahaha<br/>food, staff, service, general - 10/10

We arrived at Cobb and Co Rotorua with our 3 kids without a reservation. The host at the counter said they were fully booked but he had a table "just in case" set aside. This was fantastic! They were SO busy but our orders were all correct and timely and the waitresses were great. However, we found the food very average. The kids butter chickens arrived SO fast we wondered if it was out of a packet. Fast arrival of food is great BUT it was within 5 mins of placing the order. The kids had finished their mains WELL before ours arrived. When you have 3 young kids, this causes several issues. My partners "medium" steak was undercooked, my ribs were very over cooked and dry (all the sauce was at the bottom of the plate and the ribs on top with no sauce on them. The wedges were bland and we were charged $3 for sour cream. Really?..wedges without sour cream?..come on. All in all the service was brilliant...the food however was not.

Excellent service, HUGE portions! It was busy when we arrived, we really liked the kids corner and so did the kids!! We had a helpful and attentive waitress, had to wait a while for the food, which more than made up for it in taste when it arrived. We enjoyed our meals and would definitely be back again!!

Was part of a large party, unfortunately the kitchen overlooked two of our meals but were quick to send out an complimentary entree upon realising their mistake. Service staff were good natured and gave good service.
