Review Nando's - Rotorua

Nando never disappoint , their chicken is so tender and tasty. If they put more effort into the side dishes, they will be more successful. The fries are not too good? But they are called a chicken restaurant for a reason

Nice, modern decoration with relaxed environment and serving good food. Staffs are friendly.

The food was delicious as always, atmosphere was lovely & the service was excellent. We especially want to say thank you to the staff for their friendliness and being so accommodating especially dining in with our 3 young children. We will visit again next time we are in Rotorua.

Went there for a late lunch with a colleague, we ordered a plate of chips between us and a few drinks, $9 for the chips and they were great, neither of us was too hungry so it was the perfect amount. Rest of the menu looked great so I will be going back for sure, quick service too, tons of tables to pick from.

"How grilled chicken should be!" Peri-peri is a chain restaurant that offers great grilled chicken cooked according to your desired spicy level. What really sells it for me is their attention to the quality of their food. They marinate their chicken for atleast 24 hours before grilling and they cook it just right, avoiding the chicken to get dry. Their Rotorua, New Zealand branch has a great ambience just like any other Peri-peri restaurant. Its clean, bright, and well ventilated. A whole chicken with with one large side costs $32.50. You can have half and half flavors which is great. Their whole chicken is roughly 8 slices which feeds up to 2-3 hungry hungry hippos! Advice: get the non-spicy flavors for the chicken, they've got sauces on the side that you can get which they also use for cooking. This way you can control as to how spicy your chicken will be and not ruining the whole experience if by getting the hottest level. Why the 4 stars? They dont have enough staff. It was dinner rush when we got there and they only got 1 front of house staff which also doubles as a waiter and cashier. This just tells something about the management. This also puts too much pressure on that one staff and increases the chances of subpar performance. A 5-star restaurant should not just have good food but also should have good management.

This was a really nice place to come for our tea. I had a vegetarian burger and chips and it was very tasty. The atmosphere was fun and colourful with great art and so it was a really nice experience. They had plenty of food options to choose from, lots of drinks and everything seemed clean.

It's very tasty, jucy Peri Peri chicken, especially with sauces. Those who like spicy will enjoy it. I enjoyed it and it's a nice ambiant restaurant, especially those who love spicy food.

nando's is the home of the best chicken for me. lots of nice flavour and aroma. we love the different levels of spiciness of their sauces. spacious and cosy ambiance. took good 30 minutes before they served our order though.only 2 staff on and im not sure if they are prioritizing uber orders than dine-in customers.

A very welcoming eatery in the heart of Rotorua. The service was quick and everything we ordered was delivered with a smile. The food was tasty and enjoyed by all. Well worth a visit

If I could rate higher I would. Absolutely wonderful visit to Rotorua branch today, the 2 staff members were extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, cooked to perfection and so tasty and succulent. Could not have asked for a better experience and feel their hospitality exemplary to all in the industry. Way to go Nandos Rotorua team. Thank you, ngā mihi nui mō te manaakitanga.

The chicken was burnt and super dry. The corn was soggy. We love nandos but this one was super disappointing. Really good chips as usual. Staff were friendly and welcoming

I thought it odd when I saw the "please do not feed the birds" sign posted on the wall, but that was before witnessing some sparrows nonchalantly helping themselves to customer's leftovers. Anyway, the chips here are awesome, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They also offer $2.50 coffees and hot chocolate.

Went for dinner here on the long weekend , staff were polite and cheerful , we ordered a family feast and a kids meal , food was good but I wasn’t happy with the large sides that came with the family feast to me they were like a regular or small size portions a lot difference from the Auckland branches , our table wa clean abit dirty like it wasn’t cleaned after some one ate there and also the toilet lights could be looked at some were not working and very dark in there other then that it was ok experience.

We had chicken burgers of various styles and the spice and the taste seemed ok, but, were in for a letdown as the fare did not agree with our stomachs.  The spice levels were quite average. Service was quite satisfactory and contrary to what is posted over here, they do offer takeaways. In fact, we had takeaways on 7 Jun 16.

Very poor experience. I have been to many nandos restaurants but this one was not what i expected. Staff was friendly however, to start with they served my 5 year old son hot corn on cob when i ordered mild. We ordered a salad which was priced at around $9 - it had 3 slices of cucumber, 1 slice of tomato, 2 slices of red capsicum,some olives and lots of lettuce. Didnt have any dressing either. Ordered 2 burgers - basically it had the pattie , slice of tomato and some lettuce, for a $9 burger you would expect a bit more. Ordered large peri peri - the portion we got didn't look large. Lowlight of our visit was that the salad had some dead insect in it. Showed it to the staff. They apologised and carried on. Never going back here.

We really enjoyed the vegetarian burger, salad and peri peri fries. The extra hot sauce is superb and a treat accompaniment.<br/>If you're a vegetarian/looking for some spicy food, then this is a place for you.<br/><br/>There's a lunch & dinner special here at NZD 9.9 and NZD 14.9 which offers good value for money. However, we felt that the quantity of servings served for the specials was lesser than what we have seen at other outlets, so be wary about it.<br/>Otherwise, a fine outlet with good service.<br/>

Believe it or not, in all my travels around the world, this is the first place I tasted a Nandos burger and have fallen in love since. We ate here on Christmas Day, as there weren’t too many options available. Will remember it for the rest of my life.

Wish I had read the reviews before my visit. Went there at 8.50pm, waited in the queue for nearly 10 minutes and when we were ready to order the lady at counter said ”we are closed”. These exactly were the words. The store closing time is 9pm and we were told at 8.57 that they are closed. Yes, all this happened when it was raining heavily outside &amp; I was with family. The person at the counter offered no apology for not serving us. Owner of this store needs to look into these issues. By the looks of it I am not the only one complaining.

I am appalled at the service of Nandos Rotorua! They offer $2 coffees and make you wait up to half an hour for them because they 'forgot' your order. I was waiting for my takeaway coffee and it was clear they were understaffed everyone was running around taking food and orders at the counter and no one was even making any of the coffee orders. By the time I had finished my chips I was still waiting! Since I was on a lunch break I had to ask for my money back and leave and no apology was given! If you are offering a service ($2 coffee) you should provide it and at least have the hands to make it

Nandos Rotorua - Absolutely bad service, when we came in to order our meals at 8, they hinted towards getting it takeaway so we didn't sit down! Then when we said we were eating in asked us to sit on their lower level instead of their raised one so they could mop the floors. We were there for around over forty minutes and no one even touched the raised level, not only that there was already two other tables sitting up there so why did it matter if we had? Then when we had sat down and they brought us our meals they put them into the table without saying a single thing to us. The staff there are rude and unfriendly and quite frankly make me never want to go to another Nandos again! When you walk through the door they can't even say hello or smile at you to make you feel welcome, they stand there with grumpy faces. Not the kind of attitude you should receive when spending your money somewhere.

I love the fact that these guys open for breakfast unlike all the Nandos's in Auckland. Good work guys! love the breakfast menu :-)<br/><br/>But i have to say, the service was average when i was there 3 weeks ago. I remember coming in 1 1/2 years ago when it was run by Fijians (not fijian indians - ethnic fijians) and the service at that time was beyond awesome. Friendiest service i've ever received at any Nandos branch. <br/><br/>To be fair, when i say the service was 'average', it is average compared to what i experienced last time i was there. But still a lot better than the New Lynn and Mount Eden branch.

My wife and I ate at this scruffy restaurant. The paella was not paella - more like an instant rice dish. The service was poor with one main arriving ten minutes before the other. The chicken dish was ok but not good value for money.

We love Nandos in Rotorua..ultra modern and clean...bathrooms really clean - yay.<br/>The food is delish, atmosphere awesome, staff so friendly, love that its licensed, kids love it. Have been to other Nandos restaurants (eg Mt Maunganui--quite the opposite)...I guess it definitely comes down to the franchise owners. They have done a brilliant job in Rotorua!! Not often that you can say the tables were spotless, the chairs clean, floor clean and all our glasses were sparkly clean..good on you.

The atmosphere is so warm and cosy as is the staff. Great service and ymmuy food. It's such a pleasure to eat here. I'll go back again and again and again....you get the drift!!! Well done to the team at Nandos keep up the great work :D

What can I say? Fantastic in all aspects, as soon as we came in we got great customer service and the food was great, some of the best chicken I've ever had!the restaurant is ultra modern and very nice staff. We will definitely be going there again!
