Best scotch fillet ever. Similar to my favorite at Boulcott Bistro on Boulcott Street, Wellington. I had to go back to the Boating Club the second night, just to have it again. If you go to Russell, you must eat here if you're looking for an amazing taste sensation without hurting your pocket. Jackie Haines, the chef, is generous with the portions and certainly knows how to please a foodie like me.
The staff are friendly and helpful and the place has a friendly, welcoming feel. The locals are also easy to chat with and suggest some of the must see look-outs while you're there. They also have bands playing, so a good time to eat well and kick up those heels 👠 😋

It is absolutely lovely place to unfortunately I was there for a funeral ⚱️ but to be honest I did enjoy my time at the yacht club remind me of how New Zealand use to be rustic & friendly
