Fantastic coffee as expected, remarkable latte art, perfect temperature as well. Also wonderful food and service. Definitely my favourite cafe in Auckland. I ordered Creamy Mushroom and Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict with flat white - Really yummy. Can recommend.
best place for a quick lunch food excellent and staff just so friendly go there every week for a fast lunch there are not many places you can get such value on the shore
Reasonably priced food, and tasty too. Food took a little longer to arrive than I would have liked but overall good experience. Exceeded my expectations. Also looks like a favourite with the locals. Will be back if back in the area
Very Efficient Location with plenty of free carparks. Lovely Staff, sausage rolls are the best. One of the best coffee in the shore! will definitely be back!
I went to this place for a quick and cheap breakfast with friends and found their food unexpectedly absolutely delicious. The pancakes were fluffy and fresh topped with fresh berries.
They were only 13$ which is hard to find these days. But definitely have to go back for more pancakes.
Also they use the ponsonby strand of Allpress coffee beans which are premium quality beans. I usually drive far to get Allpress but now this hidden gem is just next to the grocery store in sunny nook.
Prices are great too.
We have had brunch here at the weekend several times. Food and coffee always nice. Can be busy on a Saturday morning. Only a basic cafe but nice and friendly
Tried their mocha a couple of times, and they are very decent - could potentially become one of my regular cafes for coffee in the area.
Had lunch (but ordered from the breakfast menu) here today with a friend. I ordered the sausages, scrambled eggs, tomato and a hash brown instead of the toast. I really liked the scrambled eggs as they were cooked just right (some places over cook these). The sausages were okay and the hash brown was decent. The pricing was certainly very reasonable. My friend ordered the sausages, bacon, poached eggs on toast. He enjoyed his meal but the sausages were cold.
We lunched today at the Great Cafe, which we have been to numerous times as the quality of food is consistently good and the staff are always welcoming and friendly. The cafe offers a wide range of delicious cabinet food, a sound breakfast/lunch menu at reasonable prices, and the best toasted sandwiches in town! - nothing fancy, just good quality thick bread slices well toasted with generous fillings and tasty cheese. Today, in addition to the toasted sandwiches we shared, I also had some of the mini quiches to go as I always find them too tasty to resist.
Amazing food, lovely service and affordable prices. There is an option for everyone. The cafe isn't fancy but the food is delicious. 10 out of 10 if you are coming for a nice coffee and a great feed.
Great coffee going by the name the 'Great Cafe'. Food is absolutely amazing. the best DATE SONES and sausage rolls. Service with a smile all the time. Lovely staff with perfect service!👍🏻
This place REALLY lives up to its name! Everything tastes fresh and delicious, and on top of all, the price is very fair. Nothing is overpriced here. Will always come back! Highly recommended! Also, gluten-free bread option. But a gluten-free bread that tastes good as well.
Went here on a whim and boy were we not disappointed! The food was great, the hollandaise sauce was so good that my partner, who usually hates the stuff, thought it was delicious. The atmosphere was really relaxing, they have comfortable seating, and the staff are really lovely too! Glad we went, we will go again :)

Fairly average lunch. Got bacon and eggs on toast. Eggs were decent size and cooked well, there was a lot of bacon but quite fatty. Sourdough toast is like eating glass. Food arrived quick and staff were nice. Banana smoothie was liquefied banana lollies. Atmosphere is a bit dull, unfortunately most of the view is carpark. Lots of pigeons walking around inside.
