Awesome cafe in the beautiful Swanson. I had gobbled down my Eggs Benedict and enjoyed my cold mochaccino. My hubby enjoyed his stir fried thai beef salad. Overall, it was a nice afternoon.
Swanson Station Cafe is a treasure and I visit almost every day. It is very popular and no wonder. The staff are helpful and friendly and the food is consistently good. This is the archetypal Kiwi Westie experience - eating good food in the sunshine and kicking back
5 Stars for Swanson Station. Eating at a cafe in an old train station building is Pretty unique! Friendly staff and fast service. Lots of outdoor seating under a covered deck so it’s very lovely on a nice warm day. Food is always so delicious and never disappoints. It’s our “Go To” cafe when we want to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy some rural feels. Very affordable too and definitely the best big breakfast with great value for money. Brioche French toast always goes down a treat. Amazing coffee!
The food was substantial yet of a high quality. The staff were really friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Will definitely visit again. An added perk for Pokémon go players was it was right under a gym!
I visit this cafe a lot and have read all these reviews. They are all pretty accurate. Problem is when staff change, consistency and quality changes. In this area the staff need better training.
I have always found the coffee and food of a very high standard. Derek would the best for service and quality. The very best drinks are when Derek makes them. If you want excellence, ask for Derek.
Noticed that they now have an A grade. Must have either new owners since I last went there or new staff. Service has improved. The smoked salmon pasta was delicious!! The kids meals are expensive for what you get though.
Derek makes the most AMAZING mochas. Staff are so friendly I love them all, they know me by name and really make an effort and give me cute little surprises. The food is 10/10 and their sweets in the cabinet are out of this world! Highly recommend:)
I have always driven past this place and have not thought much of it. However I had a coupon here that I wanted to use and thought no better time like the present. Most of the dining was outside on the deck and all taken, so we managed get a little table inside. Asked for a recommendation while at the till as I couldn't decide. Was recommended the Brioche French Toast, which came with butterscotch sauce, banana, streaky bacon and whipped cream. Thoroughly filling. My sister had the Eggs Benedict with bacon. We were both impressed with the quality and taste of the food, and look forward to returning to try out other items on the menu.
Love this cafe. Nothing majorly special - standard breakfast and brunch menu. Was the best eggs benny I've ever had and I've worked in many cafes.
The food hear is always good. The organic chicken burger always taste good no matter what. With most seating outside there is no reason not to get fresh air, excellent service and yummy food.
A very classic cafe. The flat white is served in bowl, very traditional! 👍👍 Chicken liver are delicious, well cooked with a balanced creamy and greasy taste. Stirred fried eggs are delicious too. A good cafe to dine.
The food was fast and delicious, and the service friendly. We got large coffees too and they were served in soup bowls, larger than expected!
The ducks were very cute, this male was exceptionally entertaining and I even managed to pat him while he wasn't looking. 5 stars!

Great ambience , nice deck to enjoy a relaxing coffee or meal . The service was friendly and efficient. A good selection of food and drink . Average pricing. I had an omelette which was presented well and tasted nice - see attached photograph.
Indeed very accessible right at the train station end of Western line, food very delicious, coffee and hot chocolate just perfect. The only downside when whanau went for late lunch was the pressure the lady stuff had on her, 30mins left before closing time, there were customers still eating at the deck and she was pushing tables/chairs so hard producing annoying sound. We just left, seemed inappropriate and nasty.
Great place for all day breakfast that never fails to deliver consistently delicious food and top-notch coffee! My photo is of the corn fritters which doesn’t do it justice - the salsa is a great addition. Eggs for eggs benny were perfectly poached👍👍
Great service, coffee and food. Had my French Brioche Toast with grilled banana, streaky bacon, butterscotch and side of whipped cream! 👌🏼😍🤤Yummm. Not too sweet and not too salty, just perfect.

I highly recommend the passionfruit smoothies made with a scoop of vanilla ice cream 😋 Everything we've ordered and eaten to date has been delicious, and we keep coming back for more. Love the outdoors dining on the deck, especially on warm sunny 🌞 weather, and it's doggy friendly 🐕
Every now and then we stop in here for brunch. No trouble getting a table, the food is excellent, and coffees are always good. Spend local and support a good cafe. Recommended.
Never had a bad meal here always great coffee as well.
