A highlight of my New Zealand trip. Forgotten World Adventures are supported by wonderful informed tourist guides, as well as all the helpers at their motel. It is a simple accommodation, but very clean with a very comfortable bed. Part of the trip included a visit to a lovely Cafe in the midst of lavender fields. I felt very welcome the whole time of my 3 days visit. Especially as an older single tourist! I wish the whole team success!

We had a really fun day on the half rail adventure. Weather was cooperative and the scenery was beautiful. My partner finally got to drive on the left side of a vehicle! The tunnels were really neat. Highly recommended

What a truly unique adventure. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our rail cart trip. Everyone who helped at all stages of the trip were so helpful and friendly. The scenery is spectacular and we love to hear the early stories of the area. We thoroughly enjoyed the home baking and found that there was ample food for us at the lunch time - appreciated the touch with the flowers. We became competent rail cart drivers in a very short time. We love that the experience is like no other we've ever done. Something that will stay with us for a long time. Thanks so much for sharing this part of the country with us.

I truly loved the experience of the rail system. I had David drive for me as I was on my own. We chatted the whole journey and I know I learnt heaps more than others. As a person with mobility issues, I use a stick, staff were extremely helpful. They took a step so I could get up onto the cart easily and constantly checked I was managing. So grateful. My only negative would be at the Motel. The ensuite was so small I had difficulty walking into it. The placement of the shower is wrong, it should be where the toilet is and the toilet should be where the shower is allowing more space to get in.

Our family took my mum on this trip for her 80th birthday. This had always been on her bucket list. We did the republic tour. What an amazing day out and we were so looked after. lots of stops with great baking (my daughter has already made the slice), the lunch was so so fresh and tasty. Country views and tunnels galore, learning about the history and present times of the land and track we were travelling was so interesting. Our guides were absolutely brilliant, as were the support staff at check in! It is such a well run tourist business. Thank you very much to your team for helping to make mums weekend that extra bit special.

From the moment we checked in to the motel to the completion of the tour was an outstanding experience. The staff and guides are so full of knowledge and made it such an informative tour. Our smokos and lunch were fabulous and the opportunity to see the not so often seen part of NZ will remain with us. Don't hesitate folks, book a tour.

Stunning New Zealand scenery that you’d otherwise not see … with fun guides. A great day out doing something unique. Lunch is only a sandwich so if that’s not enough for you take something extra. And when they say dress in layers believe them … the tunnels are frigid and depending on time of year, the morning can be too! And if you are prone to motion sickness take some sealegs for the bus ride back which is very windy but again incredible views - keep your camera out!

Loved the whole experience. Friendly, informative staff who take good care of customers. Nice touch to provide home baking. Very proud that the area I grew up in as a child has now progressed to delivering an adventure of this standard.

Thanks so much for a really awesome day. The two of us really enjoyed the whole experience. For us it was a bit cool when we started out, but we had been advised by Eden ( the very friendly and helpful administrator) to bring extra clothes in case we needed them. Lincoln was our very informative guide, and what a wonderful job he did. All the rest of the staff were top notch as well, nothing was too much trouble for any of them. We are recommending your adventure to anyone that will listen. Keep up the good work and thanks again. Adrianna and Chris

This trip was arranged through Great Journeys & their package from Wellington, a total of 5 days. All the arrangements that had been mad fell into place. The team at Forgotten World provide a very professional service and are able to provide an excellent history of the Stratford to Okahukura mothballed railway. I would recommend this trip.
