Not from Taupo, so I used reviews to choose this place. I wasn't disappointed. Photos say it all. Good quantity of chips for sure, nice and crisp. Online order that was ready virtually spot on time. Recommended.
Just the best fish and ship in town. Excellent, I would advise the Snapper one. Portions are kinda very huge so if you don't eat much, 1 portion for 2 might be enough. Picture represents 2 portions fyi.
Pretty good fish and chips, I particularly like the batter which was lighter and very crunchy. Their paua fritter was also delicious!

The best Fish and Chips we have had on our NZ trip by a mile!
The chips were extra crispy with a good amount of salt. The chicken and Avocado burger was delicious and juicy! The fish burger was very crunchy and full of flavour. The Mars bar in batter was to die for with a great Cinnamon flavour. If I lived here, this would be my local!
Went here after reading some reviews, we loved the garlic chips (someone needs to get on this in Melbourne!). The grilled fish, potato cakes and fried brie were also super yummy.
Everything was freshly made and still hot when we got back to our hotel.

Decent fish and chips. The trevally was especially good value. We had the garlic chips, which was good, but essentially it's just the chips with a lump of garlic butter on the top - not sure why it was almost double the price. Minus a star overall because the service wasn't great. I told the guy that we'd eat it on the tables outside and he couldn't even be bothered to tell us when our order was ready, nor provided any cutlery, so I had to keep going back in.
We tried the Gurnard, deep fried banana and the chips. All were excellent; the banana had a thin but crisp coating and a light dusting of cinnamon sugar, the fish was succulent and great value for money. There are plenty of other things that looked great on the menu like the bacon butie and burgers! There's only seating outside.
Loved the fish n scallops with battered Mars bar and cinnamon donuts🥰. Lovely quick service and delicious food. Great experience after a day trip in Taupo to take away and sit by the lake. 🥰❤️❤️❤️
Great variety, friendly and quick service.
Our meal was ready quickly and the overall quality was good (we even got a few bonus items in our family pack). Special mention of the deep fried Camembert - delicious 😋 🧀
Although I didn't use it, they also have and online ordering option which would be super convenient in future.

Nice and tasty crumbed fish!
Will definitely buy here again if in Taupo! Highly recommended.
