great food! i wish i took more photos but i ate too fast! 😜 excellent chai and the flat whites were really beautiful and strong! i actually added sugar which i never do in the united states! NZ does coffee very well!!

4.0 | Food is average, nothing that will wow you but also morning was bad. Coffee is great, one of the better espressos we had while visiting NZ. Service is rather friendly and efficient. Good stop for a morning coffee and a quick bite.

Enjoyed our food. Nice selection of dishes. Prices were reasonable for what we got. Coffee was nice. We would go again. I would recommend this place.

Nice big space and the food and service were great. I had a seafood chowder which was delish but i couldn't finish it all! Got to take home leftovers in a container though so that was good. Also had a lemon tart, that was also really good. I would definitely go back.

Awe little cafe, nice and clean, great staff and customer service. Good GF options and food super delish! Totally recommend for brunch or lunch or even just a coffee and cake... especially the cheesecake!

Under new management, Churchills is flourishing! Great coffee, lovely ambience, superb service and just a really nice place to share a meal with someone. Highly recommended.

Second time here and we are happy to come again. Carrot cake is perfect, tasty. Also salad and pie was really good. Staff is nice and friendly. All the best for this team and their business.

We recently had a brunch for 26 people at Churchills and the staff handled that amount of people like they do it everyday. The food and service was great, would highly recommend and thank you to everyone at Churchills.

Thank you to all the staff for accommodating my son and I today for brunch ... we are severe coeliac and the staff went to extra measures to ensure our safety which exceeded my expectations ... well done on providing a clean well maintained cafe in te awamutu ... a great cafe to suit all needs and has a great atmosphere and ambience ... I was extra surprised to see sunblock for customers to use at the counter excellent and we will be back

A large group of people arrived Sunday for breakfast. Meal was A1 and served quickly.

had a dreadfull experience at churchills . went to celebrate my grand-daughters birthday. as there were 4 of us we seated with two small tables. one staff member came and requested she take one table for other customers. there were very few at that point. this would have meant no room to eat a meal in comfort so mentioned this. the staff member then slammed the table back in place causing a load bang. for someone of her advanced age I was shocked at her behaviour which was totally unacceptable. we did not dine there and I will certainly not go again or recommend this café to others. I felt very upset for my grand-daughter who had been looking forward to this for some time.

Wow what an amazing cafe from the moment we walked in to the moment we left it was an awesome experience. We were welcomed by such happy and friendly staff, the selection of food is out of this world. Something for everyone. All good is made onsite! The menu on this website is out of date! The service was great, our food was delivered and looked amazing. I definitely will be making the long drive to come back here with my family regularly. It is honestly an awesome cafe!! With a multitude of great cafe's and eateries to choose from in Te Awamutu, a debate was had prior to heading to Churchill's, although a regular visitor to TA, I hadn't been to Churchill's before.<br/>Service was mixed (barista was great), food wise - falafel was very dry, risotto was overly cheesy, fish and chips- soggy batter. Snail (YES) in the green salad was a shop stopper- lazy food prep. A Tip- when a customer mentions there was a snail in their food don't mention occasions where spiders and caterpillars have suffered the same fate...<br/>Free coffee / money back offered, but really. Thanks, but no. <br/>Debating where to go next time we visit TA won't take as long, Churchill's has been crossed from the list.

Best ever service staff are so helpful and nice strongly recommend anyone to go and see for them selves . Food is great A+ great outdoor area to sit and enjoy food . Always hello how are you when you enter and see you later when you leave. Beat coffee in town and they make me a white and dark hot chocolate drink that's the best

Beautiful place, friendly people but the worst chai soy latte in town...and Ive tried everywhere to the point that I not longer drink them as I cant find a decent one yet!

Arrived for lunch to an amazingly warm welcome by the staff. Ordered a west African fruit and pork hot pot as I have never had anything like that before and what a fabulous experience! I seriously would recommend this to anyone. We had such a great dining experience, coffee to die for, service that you could not fault and just an all round fantastic place! Can't wait to go back!!!

We use this remarkable establishment for our early morning supervisor meetings! And every time is as gr8 as the previous! The muesli is my favourite!!!! And the chai latte!!!! Wonderful staff,gr8 chef's!!!!

Visit Churchills reasonably often for lunch, food is generally good clearly made on the premises, though wouldn't rave about the Kebabs. We had always had good service and staff are friendly, have heard others complain it is slow but haven't experienced that. Unfortunately they have stopped doing evening meals, had the best meal in Te Awamutu here some time ago.

Just had my 1st visit to Churchill's and it won't be the last. The staff where friendly and helpful with suggestions, the cafe is spotless and a pleasure to dine in. Superb coffee and the food was fresh and tasty. Parking not really a hassle as you can use the Homewards carpark. Well priced. Thanks ladies!

We have dined here frequently even travelling from Hamilton. It is great value and the food is awesome. Well worth a try.

Quite disappointed!! Service was exceptionally slow and no apologies despite waiting for ages for food and drinks and having to go and prompt the staff when our food didn't arrive. The food was nice for the main meals. The cake was not good- the carrot cake was old and dry. Not up to what is normally expected of Churchills and very very disappointed. Will not be back in a hurry!!

Recently a group of 8 of us went to Churchills for a birthday dinner. The service was good, the waitress regularly checking that we were ok for drinks. The food was impeccably cooked, was beautifully presented and tasted superb! We had a throughly enjoyable evening and would reccomend to all!

I am an avid fan of churchills, we have always had friendly service by the staff and the food is delicious. Only downside is peak time at lunchtime when you are ordering something takeaway, wait times vary between 10-20 minutes to reheat food takeaway. You can find yourself waiting in line for a while too. Otherwise great place. Would definitely recommend for those who are going for brunch, late lunch or dinner :) The atmosphere is fab and the food choice is brill. I will continue to drop into Churchills provided it's not 12pm and there are parks out front. Keep it up!

I have stopped at Churchills for lunch on numerous occasions and am almost always very satisfied with my dining experience. Coffee generally very good, and the food is always nicely presented. Nice flavours and reasonably priced.

We chose this cafe from the internet (however a decent website with pics and menu options would be good for the customer and the business) to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, preferring to leave Hamilton City for something out of town. We were not disappointed the food was excellent, and the atmosphere was pleasant, however was a bit cold in the main area of the cafe, they had heating, but with doors open to enter, was rather chilly in there, outside could have done with more tables, which probably are available during summer hours, however we had a nice little private area which was warm and so the whole experience was rather nice, will be going back again in the future probably with family or friends.

Thank you for a delicious meal and excellent service. There were four in our party and each one of us rated the whole experience highly. The surroundings were lovely, the waiters were attentive but not too pushy and we were able to change parts of the meal to suit our tastes. We will be back!

I dined at Churchills for lunch.<br/>The service was slow and they needed more staff on.<br/>We waited a while for our smoothie and then when the meals we delivered we asked for some chutney and it never arrived. the staff seemed flushed and there were dirty tables all around us for the whole 40 mins that we were there.

My husband and I have lived in New Zealand<br/>for nearly four years and have traveled both Islands, Churchills service and food have been the best that we have experienced, the staff are charming and very helpful and the food is great, Hot tip try the chocolate fondant dessert, scrummy.

Went to Churchill's for tea as a family last night, was amazing, got a lovely friendly greeting at the door as soon as you walked in, the service was fantastic, very friendly, attentive, nothing was too much trouble, the food, was AMAZING! so tasty, filling, and picture perfect presentation, it was definitely the wow factor, would highly recommend to all, prices were good, am definitely going back again with more friends./ Thanks Churchill's for a great night out.

I was thrilled by my experience at Churchills recently and highly recommend it to all who want a bit of luxury as a reasonable price. The surroundings are tastefully modern yet still in keeping with the history of the building. I was struck by the professionalism of the waiting staff, who were friendly, courteous and appeared to enjoy their jobs. Our meals arrived in a timely manner, each order delivered seamlessly to the correct person. The cutlery, I noticed, was polished, not a water mark or spot to be seen. No only this but the table was set with real linen napkins. The food was, artfully presented, expertly cooked and delicious. My prime Hereford steak, was tender, succulent and melt-in- he-mouth. I have never had steak this good before, anywhere. We came away from our meal feeling thoroughly spoiled and wowed. It is well worth a trip from Hamilton, or surrounding districts to experience this very special restaurant. Well done to the Churchills’ team, your doing a fantastic job.
