I think we've found our favourite meat restaurant! Despite the used furniture, the atmosphere is familial and suit perfectly with Sundays vibes 🙂. The prices are fair. When we enter the place, the barman stops his duty to welcome us which is unusual and pleasant

One of our go to places. Go here a lot at all different times brunch, lunch and dinner and can not fault it. Amazing food, drinks and good prices. Have suggested and brought work, friends and family here. Never any complaints. Have tried a lot of the different food options and all of it is super yum. Super friendly staff. Highly recommend 💜 Also awesome venue for parties had my Dads 60th here and a few 21st/30th's over the years 😀

Been awhile since we've been there but as always....Awwsome food 😊 One day might be able to fit dessert in!!

Absolutely loved everything about this place,we went to celebrate a birthday and it was the best environment for all, kids had fun things to do, and all they can eat dessert. Myself I totally enjoyed my meal and because I was in control of cooking it was the icing on the cake. If you're looking for a family friendly place look no further, thanks to all the staff who served us on the 7th of April 🥰 you were amazing and chef's are top notch ❤️😊

We haven’t been to the 7’s Bar for a meal I a few years as we weren’t impressed with our last few visits. However, tonight I said to my sweetheart shall we give the 7’s another chance. OMG. Our meals were so bloody good I could have had mine again. Sina had Lamb shank that fell off the bone and I had Twice cooked pork belly which just melted in my mouth and our vegetables were cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to come back. Wow, yum.

Fantastic service, meals were beautifully presented, generous size and cooked beautifully. Would recommend and will definitely return.

Went to try the steak an Guinness pie, reminded me of my late grandma cooking, nice one, might have to book the end of year staff party here. Wow! Bartenders know there drinks! New range.

Staff were super friendly and approachable even chatting with my 6yr old son. I scoffed my whole meal which is unusual. Also kids meal good price. 5 nuggets and chips a soft drink and a make ya own icecream all for under $15

Went here couple weeks ago with some girlfriends had a lovely time staff was chill and friendly, new menu took us by surprise in the best way these new pizzas were great and me being a sweet tooth I tried their new trifle was delicious couldn’t get enough

14.99 kids menu, good value. When U spending double that elsewhere, great for family meals, alot of free parking so easy to get there, they were pretty quick. Too

Slight error with our order, but swiftly remedied by super friendly staff. Food was delicious and quick service. Highly recommend and will be back

Took my wife out for lunch and man what a highly recommended place to go too. Honestly her ribs meal devine, my Geiness pie meal mouth watering, seafood chowder for starters and mushrooms Aracini all delicious and to finish of with a Chocolate Sundae. Happy satisfied Wife makes me know I made the best choice ever. Keep up the great work guys your awesome 👌 👏 👍 😍

Dropped in for a burger and beer as part of Wellington on a plate. Guy who took order at the bar was inviting. Service was fast, and a number of seating options. Outdoors eating area probably set up for summer. Covered outdoor area set up for smokers. Burger was a bit smaller than I expected tasted OK, they had sold out of the matching beer. Disabled carpark out the front and entrance is wheelchair accessible. They have a kids menu and a happy hour, see photos. Set up is relaxed, small pool table $2 per game. I will go back again. I forgot to add the do coffee also.

Food wasnt as great as it has been. Service was ok but not great. We had to wait 30 for our deserts and when creme Brule arrived it was watery and not as thick as it has been previously. Ive given a four star because i know how great this restaurant can be. Maybe they were having a bad night.

All I can say is the new menu is a fresh change, highly recommend vegan options, hard to find in upperhutt, Pad Thai salad, spiced curry potato yummy. Great service friendly staff.

Had the best time here at the 7s bar the new menu is a cool and different experience than we r use to with the same old menu they use to have I love love love the pizza and their new cocktail the lemon drop is to die for if u like vodka haha, love the mousse they got going atm to, should definitely go try it out!!

Was actually really disappointed me and my dad come in every week for lunch and we loved the food but recently it’s changed menu and owner And when I last went there I got simple breakfast eggs and kranksys and when it came out it was stone cold I went up and told the guy and he said really ? Like he didn’t believe me like I couldn’t be right I said your welcome to come and try it yourself so he actually came over and felt the meal with his bare hands which I thought was insulting to me and also very gross . He gave me a free fizzy drink and they made it again . Was average temp when it came out again but I didn’t want to say anything cause the guy was so rude . Very let down that I can’t go there anymore <br/>

Great food nachos are to die for well playing an game on the pool table. Very friendly bar highly recommended to all. Love this place. It’s made better buy the very nice lady behind the counter who has an smile to reel you back for another drink thanks again for an great place to drink and hang out with my mates

Not a bad place for pub food.  No expectations, it is pub food, but they have a nice comfortable, clean dining area and the staff are friendly and the service was great!  A plus is definitely the Guinness on tap!

Great friendly service, had the fish burger which was amazing, will have to try something different next time! Meal was a great size, fries were also good

Service is pretty good, but the scotch fillet was seriously disappointing last time I was here. The nachoes are solid though, I get them alot more than I should.

Always come here when I dont want to wait to long for a steak, the stone grill is awesome and the nachos are one of the best, quick service.

Really dissapointed with these guys after years of dining and enjoying this establishment im giving you a review you deserve. Being asked for identification on a sunday lunchtime when your 31 years old and your partner is clearly heavily pregnant is beyond rude beyond unprofessional and highly disrespectful. Ive brought my daughter to this place many times and never been asked to produce identification especially on a sunday lunchtime. I get how the law inforces you to ask for i.d when you look under 25 but shit have a bit of common sense its not hard, because its your right to ask doesnt mean its always a plausible idea. We felt embarrassed when there was a large booking that were all looking at us laughing and joking about how we needed to produce identification. Common sense is common sense especially when my partner is pregnant whats she gonna order a shot of tequila and a long island ice tea chaser..? SERIOUSLY. Its easy to say hand over the i.d and be done with it but it goes beyond a joke when its not warranted. Shame 7s bar!!!

Great atmosphere, great decor, great service. <br/><br/>The food was cooked perfectly for all meals that were ordered. <br/><br/>I had the venison on the hot stone. I loved it. However, 200g of venison is not enough, I did expect more, and the chips was a lacking on the numbers. <br/><br/>But over all it was good.

We asked our German student where to take our Japanese student for her last Saturday night dinner out and she said that she had to try the stone grill - it was great and the girls and us really enjoyed it.  We told her that Upper Hutt has it all and when they go back home they will remember how great it was -thanks very much

We went for lunch on Monday, relaxed atmosphere with plenty of seating options. Our waitress was welcoming and quick to bring water, menus and take drink orders. We ordered a garlic bread starter which was lovely a thin crunchy outer and a lovely soft inside not to buttery. I had the fish and chips with salad very nice, especially the salad it had a punchy dressing. My lunch date had the venison which he cooked to his liking on the stone grill. A meal thoroughly enjoyed. Good value for money.

We had another great meal here. The beef and Guinness pie is a must! It is consistently good and probably the 8th time I've had it! The fish and chips Hubby had this time, was again of the same high standard. The portion sizes are large. and Tuesdays they offer a free desert! Bonus!

Been there with a friend for a meal late afternoon. We both had the apricot chicken salad.<br/>Got told the dressing is home made but it wasn't. <br/>Not much cubed apricot chicken, no apricot flavour, and salad but heaps of crispy noodles on top.<br/>For $ 17 we expected more.<br/>If we go back probably not.<br/><br/>

Well, well, well, what a surprise. After refusing to go to this establishment a few years ago because of a terrible experience, my partner and I forced our self's to pop in for a quick bite Saturday afternoon.<br/><br/>Beef burger and chicken burger was the order, on a mid Saturday afternoon, with the kitchen staff cleaning the kitchen. Boy oh boy were we surprised by the quality of the food, and i must add the quantity of the food, i was great to find a restaurant that gives a proper load of chips with a burger. Buns were fresh, patties were fresh, dressing was lovely, chef clearly loves his job. Partner mentioned it was the best chicken burger she has had in a very very long time.<br/><br/>7's bar, you have redeemed yourself, we WILL be back, and i hope the experience can be repeated.<br/><br/>Well done kitchen staff !

A group of five adults and two children visited The 7 Bar for dinner on a Saturday evening, and although our waitress was very friendly and helpful, unfortunately we were all disappointed with our meals. The kids meals were sparse, and between the adults, Pork Loin, Creamy Pesto Chicken, Schnitzel, a Beef and Chicken Stone Grill with scallop and prawn side was ordered. The presentation of the meals was terrible. The stone grill came out with a raw skewer of chicken beside the raw skewer of beef beside a raw skewer of prawn and scallop. Scary! The Pork Loin and Chicken breast were as thin as the Schnitzel. Not value for money here. I did like the new area for diners with their built in booths and have dined here some time ago and enjoyed my meal, so maybe this time we were unlucky with the cook on duty

We enjoyed an awesome meal of beef and guinness pie at The 7th Bar. The mashed potatoes that accompanied the pie was the best I ever ate, even better than mine:). The atmosphere matched the meal and the staff were welcoming and attentive. All in all, I recommend the 7th Bar for a relaxing evening meal or drink. We'll be back, definitely.

This is the best restaurant in Upper Hutt. We eat here regularly. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The stone grill is brilliant and the burgers are stupendous. The wine list is short but perfectly formed and the deserts are always a fine way to end the meal.

7 Bar had a nnice atmosphere and the staff were very friendly however my fish was slightly undercooked it tasted a little slimy and my fries were already salted when they got to my table (over-salted).

Mixed review here as I've had both a great meal and a meal that puts me off going back, had the stone grill for dinner the other month, was mouth watering and looked very flash, price was around 30 and quite happy. Went for lunch here on the weekend and was offered the lunch special so had the chicken burger and friends had the fish and chips, both the chicken and fish looked and tasted like it had been frozen for quite a while and very processed, I guess that’s what you get on a $10 lunch special but there's really no point in serving it if the people eating it aren’t going to come back. Staff are average.

Went here on saturday for a girls dinner. Everything we had was yummy and great value- i had the pork loin it was amazing :)
