Lunch in a truly stunning location with great service from knowledgeable staff and tip-top food. The Honeycomb Cheesecake nearly knocked Neil off the wagon! Excellent all round and also recommend a tasting of Mahana's wines to loosen you up beforehand, if the cellar door is open.
Lovely afternoon at Forster’s Mahana. Had an amazing desert, honeycomb and white chocolate cheesecake with banana ice cream. I could not recommend it more. Best desert ever. With some lovely wine and amazing service. Will be back again!
Love this place! The lunch was awesome! We ordered the Forsters Long board (6 diff tapas from curried lentils, pork jelly, beef stew etc), Freedom Farms trio of pork (I find the pork a little dry) and the desserts short board (3 different desserts that were so yummy).

The Michelin people give places stars when they're "worth a detour". This place is worth a detour. The food would stand up at any 4+ restaurant in NZ, reflects local flavours, and is elegantly presented. Wines are good, dishes are yummy, and on a calm day, the outdoor dining area is hard to beat.
Probably the best food I've eaten in the Nelson region, and I eat all over the place. Go go go, being friends and a sober driver and settle in for an afternoon.
Absolutely fabulous. We went to Forsters on a bicycle winery trip. What fantastic lunch. Truely lovely time spent with our family while on holiday. Was so good we went back a few days later for a dessert

We had lunch and spent a delightful afternoon in the beautiful setting at Forster's. The weather was warm and sunny so we ate outside. The staff were friendly and attentive. I was visiting from Dunedin but I would recommend Forster's to anyone wanting good food, service and wine in beautiful surroundings.
Had an absolutely amazing experience here. We had chicken and bacon croquettes and the long board and a fondant dessert. Everything went well together, with different textures and powerful and delicious flavors 😍 our waiter was so lovely and kind, very patient and did amazing telling us the specials!

We held a celebratory dinner at Forsters after a small family wedding and could not have been more impressed. Fiona and the team dealt with our inquiries impeccably and with flexibility and went to every effort to ensure that the evening ran perfectly. The staff were absolutely delightful and the food is ridiculously good. It’s such a treat to be able to combine beautifully presented food with amazing food in a very relaxed but classy Nelson setting. Even a bit of evening rain couldn’t hamper our enjoyment as you can sit inside while enjoying a lovely view. Thanks so much to the chef, the staff and the whole team!

Bit of a drive to get here if your coming from Nelson but well worth it! Great tasting meals that didn’t break the bank. The portion size was larger than what we were expecting so don’t forget to leave room for a fabulous deconstructed cheesecake 👌🏻. 10/10
