Visited the cafe again on our trip to Dunedin. Had to order the classics and I must say they still taste great! They have great coffee and many other great treats on their menu. Definitely worth a stop if you pass by, surely a stop not to be missed

We haven't been here for years & decided to give it another go,usually when we go through waihola it's closed.The food was really nice & a huge variety, the staff were lovely & friendly, will definitely go back.

We stopped by here for a lovely afternoon at Black Swan Cafe. Had their Afternoon Tea Set — 3 tiers of goodness that we thoroughly enjoyed with the coffee. Scones came with the classic jam and cream (love it!!!) and the coffee was great! Highly recommend for anyone on their way to/fro Dunedin (abt 30mins drive) as a stopover or a perk me up with their coffee. We also asked the owner Shireen if we could take a look at the motel (also owned by them) just next door — very clean and spacious units with en-suite toilet. We will come back here to stay the next time we are here. Awesome stuff!

Really pleasant experience going here.
We've been in a few times because the pork riblets are amazing, and we were pleasantly surprised with our sit down meals.
The fried chicken burger easily rivals the trendy places in Dunedin and the coffee is always good. I can't comment on the other food items as I haven't tried them.
The customer service is really friendly too.
Overall a great place to stop in for a good quality coffee or meal.

We spent two weeks living at the Black Swan Motel whilst building on our nearby property. It was clean, warm & comfortable. Shirene & her staff were always very helpful and available. Nothing was a bother. They made us feel at home.
The cafe was conveniently close, loved stopping in for my morning coffee and on occasion after a hard day at work we picked up pizza for dinner. They are absolute deliciousness. Just how we like them. This crust and loaded with toppings. Add the sweet potato fries and you have a perfect meal.
Our wee grandson was with us for part of the time and we one morning we ordered him a fluffy. It was super special. He thought all his Christmas’s had come at once when he saw the sprinkles & marshmallows with the chocolate smiley face.
