Nice coffee, good selection of food, friendly service, reasonably priced, generous portions
Have eaten here before and the food, ambience and service were nice but good luck getting a car park. I went today and this time I drove and couldn't get a park so had to leave and find somewhere else to eat.

Came across this place after searching hidden secrets on Zomato. So glad we did, cosy little cafe hidden in Wairau Valley. The staff are very friendly. The food my gosh! Was so tasty and fresh, I had Eggs Benedict with bacon & mushroom ( my new fav) Mr had Corn Beef hash. So beautifully presented felt a little bad cutting into it 😁.Hot chocolate & Coffee were good too. Will defo be taking a hike from Howick to visit again
Had breakfast with dad this morning , greeted as we entered; friendly service. The coffee was great had a long black with cream extracted well, smooth flavour, wasn't sure if it was double or a single because it went down so easily !! Food was also quite great would recommend if you're around wairau
Service was efficient even though only one lady on the floor. Orders were correct and she was happy and very quick for water and orders.
I ordered eggs benedict, wow the eggs were cooked great, muffins were fresh, and bacon crispy and delicious. Was a very tasty eggs bene, looks tiny but so filling and delicious.
Cleanliness was good.
Overall it is a lovely view over the pond of wairau park and behind dennys but amazing place to stop and have food and coffeee!
Will definitely come back !
Super friendly staff, a real family feel to it. Food fresh and yum. Happy to recommend to anyone looking for an out of the way place as I think word of mouth and good reviews will help get more people thru the door being somewhere you either have to know about or just happen to stumble across not having a lot of shops nearby to catch foot traffic. I do wish them the best tho, they are putting plenty of effort in and I hope it is a continued success. Thank you.
I have been here probably 5 or 6 times over the last 3 months and have not been disappointed yet. Today I had the chicken sandwich which was delicious! My wife had the prawn risotto and she said it was "very good" I have had the eggs Benedict before and I think it is up there as one of the best I have had. The beef Vietnamese salad I've had also and that is very nice!! It is worth a visit to this place!! Great staff, good coffee and consistent quality food.
This place is fab. Seriously fab. Described as a hidden gem on its website, and I'd have to agree!
It's basically next to the Denny's at Wairau park, and so that means loads of parking.
Was not that busy when we got there, and the staff are super friendly and greet people when they come in. Cabinet good looks delicious but we were starving so brunch it was.
Ok first things first, coffee was delicious. So good I had 2 cups.
He had the grill which was bacon, hashcake, sausage toast eggs, and apparently it was fab. Sourdough toast I think.
I had smashed avo with feta and tomato on poached egg, on this amazing bread that was basically seeds and nuts I think all baked together. Was just yum. YUM.
Really nice inside, outdoor seating if you want, and such lovely staff. Totes going back!
