Review Waitomo General Store - Waitomo Caves

Called in to The General Store Waitomo for breakfast. Service was excellent, kai scrumptious, kāwhe good, smoothie perfect. What a GR8 place to have in Waitomo and right across the road from Waitomo Top10 Holiday Park. Menu for breakfast, lunch & and dinner look great. We'll worth a visit if in the area

We were entrants in the NSRA nationals this Labour weekend. Over 100 people staying at the chalets and lodge, having 3 breakfasts plus other meals. Fantastic people who made us all very welcome. You rock.

A simple and good place to stop for a breakfast 🥞 🍳 in a rainy day. Food is good and the price is okay for NZ. I had a bagel 🥯 with bacon 🥓 and cheese 🧀 and a large cappuccino. Liked it.

We stopped in here for a coffee before going on a cafe tour, and we really enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and the coffees were great. There is also a casual little sitting area.

true gem! literally a general store, they got the general basics of everything: toiletries, snacks, ... cafe serves cooked food too. very friendly staff.

Great place to stop for a rest. There's indoor/ outdoor eating areas available. Great little kiwiana and jewellery to purchase. Overall a lovely store to stop for a travel break. Definitely revisit next time where in this area👍💯.

The food is okay and the atmosphere is very great

The food and service here were excellent! The sweet chili chicken wrap was amazing as was the burger! They also have great ice cream and drinks as well. The service was also top notch! What a fabulous place; we are so happy we stopped. I would highly recommend a visit!

This ended up being our first stop in NZ on the way to the Caves. Had a nice flat white and sat on the couches inside for some much needed relaxation. Good vibes to kick off our trip thanks to the friendly staff.

The staff are almost as good as the food! Super friendly and a great chat. Arguably had one of the best coffees iv ever had there. If you're there for breakfast definitely try the waffles and for dinner don't skip on the burgers! Chicken burger was amazing albeit not the cheapest. Definitely stop at the general store if you're needing a meal in Waitomo!

We stopped in for a few burgers and some merch. Food was lovely, couldn't be better and it didn't cost an arm & leg. The little merch section was quite diverse and had some very colourful knick knacks. Nice little spot off from the road with some really great seating and parking.
