Called in to The General Store Waitomo for breakfast. Service was excellent, kai scrumptious, kāwhe good, smoothie perfect.

We were entrants in the NSRA nationals this Labour weekend. Over 100 people staying at the chalets and lodge, having 3 breakfasts plus other meals. Fantastic people who made us all very welcome. You rock.
A simple and good place to stop for a breakfast 🥞 🍳 in a rainy day. Food is good and the price is okay for NZ. I had a bagel 🥯 with bacon 🥓 and cheese 🧀 and a large cappuccino. Liked it.
We stopped in here for a coffee before going on a cafe tour, and we really enjoyed it. The staff was super friendly and the coffees were great. There is also a casual little sitting area.

true gem! literally a general store, they got the general basics of everything: toiletries, snacks, ... cafe serves cooked food too. very friendly staff.
Great place to stop for a rest. There's indoor/ outdoor eating areas available. Great little kiwiana and jewellery to purchase. Overall a lovely store to stop for a travel break. Definitely revisit next time where in this area👍💯.
The food is okay and the atmosphere is very great
The food and service here were excellent! The sweet chili chicken wrap was amazing as was the burger! They also have great ice cream and drinks as well. The service was also top notch! What a fabulous place; we are so happy we stopped.
I would highly recommend a visit!
