Our first meal in Wanaka- we came just before closing but still lovely service and excellent food. We cannot fault this place. Very quaint authentic and delicious!
Awesome little restaurant been eating here for years and still can't find another Indian restaurant in New Zealand to beat it !! 👍🏾 would definitely recommend the korma the kashmiri heddah and sagwallah but those are my personal favourites the whole menu is great!!!!

We tried ashrafs for takeaway during our stay in wanaka. We also tried the spice room from a local recommendation. We are huge indian food fans and have tried alot of the best indian restaurants in christchurch. Ashrafs stands out as not only the best indian restaurant in wanaka, but possibly better than all the others we have ever tried. In our opinion ashrafs is the south islands best kept secret. Not rating 5 stars because we did not eat in.

We ordered butter chicken, beef vindaloo and the garlic naan. All tasted amazing! Probably the best Indian we have had in a long time. If busy, worth the wait.
We had a great meal here while in Wanaka - it was incredible to get such authentic Indian cuisine while on the South Island in New Zealand at this family owned restaurant. Our server was very kind and helpful and, of course, the food was amazing! We recommend the vindaloo, korma and the naan!
Best Indian food I've had in over a decade and that's coming from an Indian. Butter chicken, prawn masala and chicken mandras off the chart. Definitely going back for more.
Delicious and good value. Lamb and prawn dish were excellent. We recommend medium spice. Hot but not too hot. Gewürztraminer wine is excellent and perfect for Indian favours. The wine was also excellent value at $38 for the bottle. Highly recommended understated family restaurant.

Hidden gem in Wanaka! One of the best authentic Indian & Kashmiri cuisine. Chicken kofta, lamb konthi and garlic naan were amazing!!!
We went on a busy Tuesday night where 1 person was serving and what looked like 1 person in the kitchen. I have to say we were blown away by our experience. The service was excellent, especially given the staffing they had. As for the food, I can't believe how good it was, we ordered 3 different Currys (beef, lamb and chicken) all cooked to perfection. It couldn't have been done better if there were an entourage of kitchen staff. Honestly blown away by the whole experience so thank you!
