Last minute we decided to stay at a campsite in wanaka, the most loveliest receptionist that helped us get booked in and reasonably priced. We just had an unpowered site at the front of the grounds and it was massive which was a big positive. The facilities were clean. Lovely spot to camp. The only minor thing was I didn’t have anywhere to put my clothes in the shower but apart from that would totally recommend
Amazing place to stay !
Just outside the town but close enough to be there in 5 minutes. The rooms are perfect for extended stay with all the amenities needed. From a hot plate, toaster to hotpot all one needs. Really enjoyed sitting outside to work and enjoy the beautiful scenery in such a peaceful environment and if you have kids wow there is a trampoline on site!
Staff was amazing as well.
This is a fabulous camp ground. Lovely views, a generous hot shower, lovely staff, great biking to town and very handy position. We love staying here
We stayed here for 2 days in a non-powered site. Staff is friendly.
The place overall is clean, there is a decent amount for parking your van 🚐.
🚩Kitchen is just too small for the amount of people staying there, tables and chairs are counted. And it isn’t busy season yet.
💚free wifi, and spacious TV room. Perfect to seat and plan your next days on the road.
I would still go again because the closer you get to Queenstown, the more packed the campsites get 😅😂😖😖😭😭😭
We had a powered site. Staff were helpful and always available. Community kitchens seemed good and labels available for people to use if they wanted to leave food in fridges. We didn't use this facility so others may comment. We had a beautiful scenic site which would be hard to beat. Toilet block was great and showers enjoyable. Really great campsite which we will be revisiting.
I stayed here one night with my small dog in my SUV. Lovely park with great facilities, even a pool! Felt very safe and comfortable. Would stay again. :)
The best campsite on southern island!
It was our first camp on route from Queenstown to Auckland and was amazing ;) Beautiful view on lake and mountain. Very kind hosts. Cleany bathrooms and kitchen. I really recommended this campsite ;)
Great place to stay, receptionist Beth was an absolute gem, 10/10. Told us everything we needed to know and gave us some history on the town, absolutely lovely vibrant woman, absolutely lovely place to stay.
This is the best campsite we’ve stayed in so far! Super friendly staff, awesome views and walkable / short drive to town, vineyards and Roy’s Peak. Will 100% be going back here when we return to Wanaka one day!
Such a cool place to stay, handy to town and awesome facilities and the awesome set up for the kid's..... Even a pool slide..... Awesome service and staff were primo too.....
