I stopped here for lunch on the way back to Auckland. I had the vegetarian pie, spinach, sundried tomatoes, mushroom and cheese pie. The filling was sizzling hot just like a pie should be, it's super cheesy as you can see from the photo. Pastry was crumbly and crispy. It was a delicious pie. It is lacking a little substance for my taste, something starchy like potatoes or some legumes like lentils would have made this a 5 for me, but nonetheless I would go back for this vegetarian pie.

Mince and cheese pies were awesome!! also had a really large ham filled roll which was delish!!
Prices were also reasonable.
All I'm going to say is do yourself a huge favour and try the chicken spinach and feta pie, they aren't award winning for nothing! It's worth the price I promise you. Never disappointed and staff are lovely, good luck getting there in time before they are all sold out though, this place is always busy for a reason, best bakery I've been to
Im in New Zealand for almost 10 years,the ever Best Fish pie I hv enjoyed was by Savan Bakery.I rekcon the Best ever In Auckland, NZ...truly drooling thinking abt it.. Such a yummy pie I ever hv,. Jackie.
Great variety of pies and they all looked fresh and not dry. Had the butter chicken - delicious! Tender pieces of chicken breast and great gravy. Also bought a lamington - have been on the hunt for a good one since we sold our bakery and Savan's is fresh and soft and tasty!
Friendly staff, but the coffee was amazing. Next time I'll try the pies, but seeing they were sold out of mince and cheese it must be a good sign. đź‘Ť

Chanced upon this place on Google. Wow, no regrets. Best pie that I have eaten in my life, tastes way better than Patrick’s pies in Rotorua. Got the steak and mushroom pie ($6). The filling is generous and crust is flaky and light. Yums!
Excellent pies (OK...i ate more than one pie). Mince was fantastic! Beef and mushroom was good but not as good as the Mince...(which was burn your mouth good because you can't wait). They're a busy place but staff are friendly, quick with your order and give you value for money.
Best pies I've had! Tried a few curry steak, jalapeño steak, steak and mushrooms, bacon quiche, sausage rolls.. they are delicious! Apple and cream donut is a good go to if you have a sweet tooth or the strudel. They have 2 vegetarian pie option which my partner loves
I had a , chicken,spinach and feta pie. It was very full and lovely and hot. BEST PIE EVER. Sausage rolls , fantastic with the best pastry ever. Thank you
Best pie shop in Warkworth! There's a reason this place is usually busy. Super friendly staff, lovely owners, huge range of delicious hot pies, desserts, drinks- you name it, Savan's will probably have it. Been coming here for years and the quality of the products have always stayed consistently good.
Literally the best Bakery i have been to! Price and quality of the food not to mention great customer service makes this a rare find. The lady that served us was so nice, she was very chatty and had a great sense of humor
Probably some of the best pies I've ever had 10/10 a must stop if you're heading up North
