As always, a fabulous experience at Lulu! We went in for steak night on Wednesday. The steak was perfectly cooked to our liking, and the sharing plates (including fries and salad) were the perfect amount. We also had 2 desserts which were both delicious, not too sweet but the right amount of richness to end the meal! Will be back for sure!

Went for the WOAP burger which was fun and delicious! Great if you’re with a group of people as the burger feeds 3-4 people and comes out served on a lazy susan for sharing. Service was friendly and informative about the menu. Love the design and Polynesian feel.

Great atmosphere and lovely staff! We had oysters for starter and 4 other dishes, pulled duck, pork ribs, tuna and roasted baby carrots to share. Nice combinations of different ingredients, seasonings and herbs that you might find in different cuisines. Lovely experience in general. Will definitely come back :)

We had a few hours to kill before dinner for our work Christmas party so made a booking online for drinks and nibbles 5 hours beforehand- super easy online booking system, table was ready to go when we got there and the food and drinks were amazing! Will definitely be back to try some of the main meals 😀

We're always impressed with the food & drink @Lulubarnz. Their new menu is the most mature & refined yet - drawing heavily on an Oceania / Aotearoa theme & keeping everything fresh & local. The white fish pastrami is unlike anything we've tried before (in fact, all the kaimoana dishes are fantastic), we rate the potato fritters with kawakawa hot sauce, & whether you're into beef short rib or smoked corn 'ribs', there's something delicious here for you! Their bar meanwhile is always popular, with great cocktail options both refined & party ready.

The food is so delicious, we loved everything we selected, every dish was well designed and a little bit different. Try the charcoal grilled market fish with house butter, it's fantastic, and the beef brisket on kumara puree was divine. The service was superb; attentive, very friendly and knowledgeable on both the menu and the wine recommendations. The decor was lovely. The restaurant was a tad cold though, one or two degrees warmer and a closed front door would help, but we will definitely be back!

The food was pretty good. The deserts were amazing. 9 of us ordered shared plates - we ended up ordering most things on the menu. 3 of us are pescatarian so we were really disappointed to learn they had no fish what so ever at 6.30pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant was beautifully decorated but the toilets felt more like a club at 3am. Tired and dirty.

Booked Kiki Bar for a private function. It is the perfect venue for an intimate gathering. From booking to the event, communication was great, and the team accommodated and were flexible on the night. The food was amazing as usual and having a private bar worked wonders. We visited for a quick dinner and drinks before a meeting, a repeat visit as one of our number (a visitor from the provinces!) had enjoyed it so much the last time we went. The service was great, including a recommendation to try the Brussel sprouts. None of us were fans but we were up for a challenge and the dish was a revelation - delicious! The brisket and the kumara chips with beetroot dish were also fabulous. We all agreed our next visit would be soon and when we weren’t in a rush. Just love the team here, so friendly and efficient. Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful place to eat, staff were friendly and super helpful in regard to how much food to buy. Food was 10/10. Drinks were also 10/10. Expensive but absolutely worth it. Only downfall - crispy Pork wasn't available but still loved dinner.

I ate at the bar and all the food was recommended by the staff. They know what's great alright. They food was delicious just like I was getting at someone's home. It tasted like it was cooked with love.

Cocktails are on point and reasonable. The bar staff have awesome banter and make you feel like you could spend the night just sitting there watching and swapping cheeky comments.
Haven't been to Wellington for a while but this place reminded me why I love it.

Excellent experience. Bar manager Jay is very knowledgeable with his drink and creates something amazing according to what you like, such an awesome dude! All staff are extremely friendly and super helpful, a special shoutout to our waitress Lola! Definitely our new favorite spot.

Pretty average for the price. We had the Taro chips, Tuna Poke and the half Huli Huli chicken. I think Lulu desperately tries to invent exotic flavours to the point that it just seems out of place. The chicken was way too sweet and sour, like a whole bottle of ketchup was dumped onto it. Was it pricy? Yes. Was the food great? Not really. Would I come back? Probably not.

We dined at Lulu as part of a voucher promotion, we were not disappointed.<br/>Lulu specialises in share plates, both small & large.<br/>The two of us shared 6 small plates, mainly seafood e.g. ceviche, salmon, popcorn shrimp all beautiful cooked with exquisite flavours.<br/>The service was understated yet attentive.<br/>We will be returning to try further dishes on Lulu's interesting menu

Happened to be with a few friends walking on courtenay place as it was our first night in Wellington. And we came across this bar full of lights and had a live band playing so we decided to check it out.<br/><br/>Ordered around 6,8 cocktails among the 4 of us to start the night off. They were full of flavor and the alcohol content was more than what we expected so the cocktails from here are a must try ✅.<br/><br/>We then ordered a few entrees and mains.<br/><br/>We ordered the huli huli chicken, Hawaiian fried rice, chilli and garlic prawn roll, beef skewers and a few other dishes.<br/>All the dishes were very well cooked with plenty of flavour. Wasn't a big fan of the prawn roll though.<br/><br/>Will definitely be coming back here on our next trip to Wellington.<br/><br/>The place gets very noisy after 10pm as it turns into a night club.<br/><br/>Ambience : ⭐⭐⭐<br/>Price : ⭐⭐⭐<br/>Food : ⭐⭐⭐<br/>Staff : ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Booked online for my son's 21st dinner celebration, found the staff very helpful and friendly on the phone. On our arrival staff were very welcoming and friendly, our family and friends were so relaxed and enjoyed ourselves from the start till end. We had four courses, yummy to the max, also special catering for our veg and vegan family, delicious food. The Volcano coctail was superb..very nice. We enjoyed the night so much with such Outstanding Food and Service! Thank you so much to the beautiful staff and management. Highly Recommend.

Oustanding food and service! We had a number of sharing plates and everything was delicious as were the cocktails. Enough veg and vegan options to satisfy. The dent on the wallet was definitely worth it!

This pl is very cool - the atmosphere was very chill - loved the music playing & the staff service was awesome. Had a bunch of nibbles, small plates & a dessert. They also had a special on - $2 oysters, $6 beer (1 option) & $6 bubbles (1 option) from 5pm to 7pm.<br/>We ordered - a 1/2 doz of oysters, tuna poke, taro chips,edamame,salmon,Paua fritters (tiny) shrimp popcorn, shrimp roll & pineapple lump for dessert. Enjoyed all the food especially the shrimp popcorn and tuna poke 👌🏽 and will be back to try some cocktails out in the garden bar.

I had dinner here last night with 7 others and we absolutely loved it! <br/>We were in food heaven.<br/>Coffee rubbed lamb shoulder was incredible it fell off the bone ❤️<br/>The Tuna Poke was another favourite of ours.<br/>Awesome wine list and really yummie strong cocktails.<br/>Only thing I wasn’t impressed with was the $15 cakeage fee for bringing in a birthday cake.. <br/>I understand if they had to store it and brought it out to us on a plate with candles but we had it with us at the table the whole time and it was in a box.. <br/>regardless food was yum! Music was awesome and fell in love with the decor. <br/>Will definitely be going back...

Been waiting a while to try this place with my wife.. Got there early evening and was surprised to find a couple of our first choice courses were unavailable... Even had to go for a third choice on the beer.. But what we did get was worth it.. Wife went with the pork belly and mango which she enjoyed with a side dish of rice.. To which we were undecided about if it was burnt or had been smoked.. As for the lamb.. It was just perfect for me.. Meat just came off the bone so easily & was very tender.. So at 1.2kg... It was sufficient for me to forego dessert.. Friendly staff.<br/>

It was a Wednesday night and we ordered a few small plates the papaya salad was average they had run out of papaya and the fish of the day. The crispy fried pork belly we were looking forward to was extremely dry we only ate it because we were hungry when we told the waiter he said no one has complained before. The coconut popcorn shrimp just tasted like deep fried batter big let down I was looking forward to trying out this place loved the idea of all the different cultural dishes real shame it didn't deliver will not be back.

Snazzy little update to the previous tenant. Great place for cocktails and great meals! Love the new vibe of the venue and the heated seats are still a great asset. Worth the visit.
