For some bizarre reason, one morning last week, there was no traffic on the drive into CBD, so we arrived at 7.30am. With half an hour to spare we decided to have a second breakfast before work (any excuse).
My partner loves the cheese cones from Coffee 32, I've had coffee and the scones from here before and enjoyed them so we grabbed a bite and sat outside.
First off, the cabinet food looks fantastic and is reasonably priced. It was hard to decide what to have, and it was tempting to buy more!
I went with my usual flat white, then chose a salami pinwheel. My partner got a cheese scone. All up they came to $11.00.
The coffee is good, how I like it. Nice and strong.
The scone was soft, cheesy with a hint of chili. Very tasty.
The pinwheel isn't something I would usually go for but with a glowing review from my partner I gave it a try. And it was good, soft bread, nice flavoursome relish and a good portion of tasty salami.
I'll definitely be back to try some of their other fare.
this is honestly my favorite place to go for coffee in wellington. i live next door, and it is absolutely perfect to have Coffee 32 so close, with such friendly and warm people working there. the coffee is so well-priced - much better than several other cafe's i've been to - and it tastes wonderful. i don't see how anyone could write a negative review about this place.
I am extremely puzzled by the review from Nexus. I have been going to Coffee 32 for well over a year. The previous owners were simply lovely and extremely customer focused. That is often the difference between ownership and working in a branch of a franchise. The new owners are also very keen to keep the customer base and give fabulous customer service and product
I created this wee profile because I wanted to let everyone on the Terrace know (who don't already) that 32 is great.
Really good coffee (If youre a regular they remember your order), a small selection of really well priced slices, and a couple of type of tasty panini's (We're talking 1.50 chocolate afghans! Almost unheard of in the center of the city!).
To top it all off the people who run it are absolutely lovely.
Its just a small wee coffee bar, but a really good place to grab a coffee and a snack/light lunch.

Great coffee served from a tiny wall-in-the-wall café, Coffee 32 is a Terrace favourite. With a very quick barista serving People’s Coffee you are bound to be sipping at excellent high-quality caffeine faster than expected.
Cabinet food covers some good choices so you have a decent chance to fill up for lunch with a filled croissant. The chocolate brownie is smooth and delicious, the cheese scone is a must-have, especially if you’re in need of a happier breakfast than none!
On a sunny day there are two outdoor tables for pairs, meanwhile inside there are bar stools for the more relaxed-at-pace.
Go here for great coffee and enjoy the light and airy interior along with the warm and welcoming staff!

Great coffee at great prices. One of the best cheese scones in Wellington. Bacon and Egg bap really good too, but have to get in quick for those!

This place is an absolute gem. Great coffee, outstanding service, lots of delicious food made in-house, eclectic music. It's super chill, even when it gets a bit busy.
I've been coming here practically every workday in 2021 and it's always a highlight of my day. If you work on this side of the Terrace you need to pop in here.
