Hey guys 🙃. Yesterday, I embarked on one of my childhood classics since 2003 and visited Alasia Seafood/Joe’s Cooks to get some good ole fish and chips 🐟🍟 for dinner. Come check out my take.
I received a generous portion of chips 🍟 $3 that was not overly greasy. They had the right potato 🥔thickness for my liking and I enjoyed it with some red chilli powder 🌶 + tomato sauce.
The crumbed/battered fish 🐟 🐠 $3.50-4 was delicious. A great amount of fillet when tearing into each piece, soft and easy to bite into. It tastes really nice with the creamy/slightly sour taste from the tartare sauce. Same goes for the battered chicken breast🍗 $4.70. Really happy to see a 💯% chicken breast fillet, made it satisfying to bite into and get the unhealthy, but protein goodness 💪🏽🦵🏽for my cheat meal.
For anyone in the Miramar or Eastern Suburbs, I would highly recommend for you to head down to Alasia Seafoods/Joe’s Cook and grab yourself a feed. They also have a neat selection of Asian takeaway meals like the fried rice, stir-fried noodles, and the orange/lemon chickens of the world. Peace out✌🏽.
Arguably the best fish and chip shop ever, my favorites are the fried chicken and hotdogs, grew up eating there and continue to this day....
Very fresh fish. Great fries. Friendly staff. What else do want from your neighbourhood eatery. I m keen to try Asian dishes. I will go back even though it's far from my place.
Had a range of dinner options, bit of fried stuff spring roll, chips and sausage and also Sichuan chicken, black bean steak, vege and combinations fried rice, wontons... all were pretty good. Enjoyed the fried rice more than normal. Fried stuff was crispy and chinese was good westernish chinese (Sichuan not really spicy and kinda peanutty) but was ok. If in the area its worth a try.
Jose's cook is the number one fish and chip, Chinese food in this local, I give everything 👍 Jose's cook thanks to keep me alive, everybody should go to try.
Went to get fish and chips with this store again, the result is great.! Their crumb fish and Kama chips is delightful! It looks always busy when I go all the time but the waiting time is not long.! Good to have you guys in local.
JOES COOK IS THE BEST AAAAAAAAA++++++ if they dont have it, its likely they will make it for you ... they invented DUCK CHOWMEIN for me i recommend this place hunnid!! ask for a Chicken, cranberry and Camembert burger, try the scallops and make sure you get things battered not crumbed lol :)

joes cook has friendly staff who give good service.It was nice to sit and enjoy our meal at the table.we loved the burgers and kumera chips. it was easy to get park outside and we will be going back.
The best sweet and sour pork in wellington. The service is good and the chinese food is freaking awesome. Never go somewhere else after try the food in here. Love it!!!
Chicken Roti wraps keep me alive! A must try!
All of the fried rice meals are also great, service is excellent and you can easily call ahead to order and pick up! 👍
This is the second time I've ordered from these guys, fish & chips a couple weeks ago and a chicken burger today. Both times the service has been very friendly and the food delicious. The chicken on the burger today was especially tasty, portion sizes are large and food is overall great value. That plus the kind and friendly service I'll definitely be back, will suggest to my friends too. Thanks guys

Great fish and chips. Will need to pay for any sauces, e.g. tartar ortomato sauce (for us Americans catsup)
The prices are very good in my opinion. Inside is very clean.
And if you tell them that you want to eat in, they will provide (real) plates and utensils as opposed to plastic which you won't find at most other fish and chip' stores...
This is particularly handy if the family has spent the day at the beach... and you don't want the fuss of cooking and cleaning...
Joe's cook is the place to go.
Really great takeaways! Prices are good and food was some of the best Chinese I've had in ages. The sweet and sour sauce was really good and none of the food was greasy like at a lot of other places. Staff were lovely also. Definitely recommend! :)

Joe's Cook is our go to. The staff are super lovely and the food is always on point. We're big fans of the $10 pack and the potato fritters here are delicious! So small and crunchy. The duck bami goreng was amazing too. You can't go wrong!
Polite friendly service and consistently good food. We always have combination fried rice and wontons. Some of our family enjoy the fried chicken and chips boxes.

Expected weird looks as i was still in my wet suit after a dive around the bays stopped in for a feed but no team still made me feel welcome.
