Great menu, friendly staff and good looking food. I had the creamy mushrooms with crispy kale, hazelnut & coconut crumb. The mushrooms were deliciously rich and creamy. The bread that came with the dish was a bit weird - I think they were thick slices of brioche? I’m not used to eating really soft white bread, so it wasn’t my thing, but some people will be into it. Would love to try their other dishes, especially the bowls.
First time eating here and the food was absolutely Delicious. Flavour combinations and temperature were perfect. Wife and I have marked it to return to. Will definitely be recommending them.

My absolute favorite is the vegan flux bowl. It is delish, filling, healthy, and full of flavor. I recommend getting in early as during lunch hours they tend to sell out quick!
Decent mushroom bene and matcha latte! Wouldn’t crave it but would go back to try something else due to good customer service and nice morning ambience

Us Wellingtonians pride ourselves on coffee, the best in the country in fact! The reason for that being because we have incredible cafes such as The Lab, who embody the hustle and bustle of our fantastic little capital and serve it to you piping hot (and generously!).
I’ve been going to The Lab in Press Hall since I started uni and expanded my ventures within the city to all its other locations, and each cafe has its own twist and quirks. The team here are incredibly hospitable, the food is made with good quality produce, and their coffee is undoubtedly iconic. My coconut flat white hits the spot every time!
I’ve never had a poor meal (their cheese scones are divine!) and the reason I come back again and again is because of the staff and their willingness to keep delivering an excellent service.
Highly recommend this cafe, keep up the great work fam!
Great atmosphere with friendly staff and super tasty food. I tried the earth bowl and was blown away by the flavors and quality of the food.
Berry n Apple smoothie, Chocolate croissant and House smoked salmon with Haloumi. Just a lil hard to cut through the crust of the bread
