The food was really good but pity that I can never seem to get in because their hours are so irregular. The Baker is pretty adamant on leaving the door open during wet/windy days too because the frosted windows discredit any signs that they're open...

Best Cannele I've had anywhere in the world (including Bordeaux), spectacular baguettes, and curry puffs that are out of this world. c'est magnifique!

A small space, but only the best food. The pain aux raisins are certainly raisin my expectations for any other bakery! The staff are exceedingly kind and very importantly won't judge bad pronunciation of the french names. Délicieux!

Most amazing almond croissants in the world... My kids love the chocolate sablé and cannellé as well. Really friendly staff. Love this bakery!

These pastries rivalled even my favourite pastries in France. And I am pretty picky about my pastries! It truly is a well-kept secret (although I think Lonely Planet may have put it on the map for tourists....so the secret might be over).

My favourite so far? The plain and simple croissant.

Don't be fooled by the 'non aesthetically pleasing' external decor...the food is always amazing. I can never go past the curry puffs and of course the french bread loaf.

Unfortunately and fortunately is Welly's best kept secret...

Shhh....don't tell anyone this is one of Wellington's best kept secrets for exquisite french bread and patisserie items.

Their boutard and petite french as well as ficelles are hard to beat. Good prices, too.

Quaint little shop with loads of pastry ,bread and even pizza choices. Currently open on weekends. Be prepared to wait on line ,because depending on when you go,you might have to wait. But it moves quickly. I loved our purchases. Lemon danish, pear and Citron tarts ,canalé,brioche with cream. You can also order coffee if you like. This is a strictly take out place.

My favourite bakery. My weekend staples are the curry puffs, canele and garlic bread. The garlic bread is just pure garlicky, buttery, crusty goodness!

Tasty and unique French pastry, looks authentic. Plus the coffee is so good, serving hot and cold coffee. Good combo

Got the almond croissant, canalé, potíto and an iced chocolate. Everything was so good but I don’t recommend the iced chocolate. Almond croissant so fluffy and such good flavor and the canalé was different but should definitely try if your there anyway. 100% go there! Don’t know why but they’re only open Saturday and Sunday which is a bit annoying but it’s a good weekend treat.

Most definitely the French Bakery par excellence of Wellington. Exceptional french breads, gourmet pies and sweet treats.

Still my favourite French bakery in Wellington, great product at reasonable prices. Their canelé are hands down the best in town. Their ever decreasing opening hours are the only fly in the ointment - I used to get stuff from there on a pretty much daily basis when they were open at 7. These days my visits are rare and far between.

One of the best bakeries I've been to in wellington. I got a garlic bread and a baguette from them. The garlic bread I over cooked :P , but the baguette was fantastic. It was one of those experiences where you buy one, and nab a hunk off the end, and your reaction is "WOW!". Definitely a good place, go early, bread goes fast.

Best Baguette in Wellington hands down, Crusty on the outside without tearing the roof of your mouth, inside DEVINE softness and so tasty. I have been coming here since they first opened up and introduced hundreds of people to this little paradise. All of them still go there now, only problem is they are onto it and arrive 7.45am 8am. The Baguettes are hot or still warm. I once got there 9am all gone .( Food depression) That mistake will never happen again. I even have a small container with butter so l can munch on the ride home, hence my standard order 2 Baguetts. Hommer Simpson Heaven. All the other treats are delicious 👌
