Having recently received a new hip. I can't fault anything, other than lack of wifi and cellphone coverage downstairs, (1st world problem.). The food was amazing, service from nurses and ancillary staff was superb. Keep up the good work team. Highly recommend
Stayed overnight after surgery and was really impressed with everything. I had Jo and Anna as my nurses who were super friendly, knowledgable and so eager to help with any request. Same thing with the rest of the staff like the nurse in the waiting room, receptionist, anaesthesist etc... It's like the same service you get at a nice hotel 👌
My toddler had eye surgery on both eyes here yesterday. We felt the care could not have been better. Our nurse was amazing and comforted us as she cared for our little girl. The hospital itself was warm and welcoming and the waiting area didn’t feel like a hospital at all. It was quiet everywhere and little touches like cloud photos covering the lights in recovery and art on the walls, made it feel more relaxing, which is great when your child is getting operated on. My daughter’s recovery took just a little longer than I had thought it would and we never felt rushed or pushed to hurry up and leave.

I went in for a surgical procedure which required an overnight stay. I found all the staff to be caring, knowledgeable, responsive, and helpful. My dietary needs were easily accommodated, my room was comfortable and well appointed, and I was discharged feeling secure that I had the knowledge and equipment I needed to care for myself when I went home. The experience was a very good one, and I have no complaints about my stay.
Good patient care but not so good partner/family care. Leave partner in waiting room for hours rather than let them sit beside patent when out of theatre. Wakefield hospital leaves partners in ward in comfortable chairs to be there when patient returns from theatre.
I went to Bowen Hospital on the 16th of July 2019 (yesterday at the time of this writing) to have my eye surgery performed (Staar Surgical Visian ICL Implantation done by Dr Reece Hall) and the quality of service I received at this place was exceptional. From the receptionist to the nurses and Dr Reece Hall himself, I cannot find one complaint to report here. It is very clear from the second you step in that everyone in here works as a team of highly trained professionals, which doesn't stop them from always being very nice and ready to answer any of your questions or requests in the best possible way. Thank you to all the staff at the Bowen Hospital and to Jeremy who helped me relax by talking to me during the actual surgery. If you still hesitate regarding this hospital, don't. Book yourself in and be ready for the best possible quality of care.
