Nice accomodations for camping and food/bar. For motorhomes needing power, there are two sites beside the main building, and the location by the side of the road does have traffic passing by throughout the night. Bathrooms and showers are somewhat rundown, but water was hot for showers and the facility is clean. The restaurant/bar is also welcome/appreciated, and reasonably priced. Sandflies were raging during our visit.

Great place on the main highway from Westport to Reefton, found online. Pub was closed due to time of year, but had a double room available, very cheap, Clean tidy and warm.
Only did the cafe but great service and food at reasonable prices
Although we arrived on a late Sunday afternoon for a meal and something to drink, not much was going on and service was quite slow.
I was amazed with the low key but amazing quality and fresh hamburgers, and the best coffee I had so far in the South island. Thanks to the single barista / cook / bar tender for the amazing meal and better, great memories with an amazing view. Recommend it 100!
We cannot describe how great the service/food here is, it was outstanding. Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. We ran into some unfortunate car troubles to which Dean, Sharlene and friends were nothing but accommodating and helpful with. We cannot thank them enough and are so grateful for all of their help in working towards getting us back on the road.
If you are driving past would definitely recommend this bar, cafe and campground.

Just called in for a takeaway coffee which was great coffee, nice and hot. Lady was very friendly and was her little daughter. Nice place view across to the river, same I couldn't stay longer.
We are from Shanghai and have lived in Auckland for four years. During the school holidays of my son, I took my son out to get acquainted with the South Island of New Zealand. This is our midway break.
The owner is very humorous, the fried fish and chips, the crispy skin is unexpectedly crispy, and the fish is firm and elastic. We added another serving later.
The big river in front of the store is beautiful. If you have the opportunity to come again, it is worth staying one night to experience it.
