Came here for dinner after a 20km hike. Such a welcoming and helpful team.
Great tasting food, very knowledgeable about allergies.
They offer a great range of Gluten free options, and their food is very well presented.
Beautiful photos of the west coast adorn the walls, nice private booths, or tables for over 4 people, as well as options to sit outside in the fresh air.
All staff working here, were all constantly busy which is always good to see.
We will most certainly be coming back when we visit Westport.
If there was an option for 10 stars, I would definitely have given Johnnys 11.
Came here after cycling the old ghost road, I had the chicken burger which was epic, really delicious crusty bread, succulent grilled chicken with the pesto and it was so cheesy. The guys I was with had the tacos and they said they were amazing. Couldn't resist the sticky date pudding to share and we didn't regret it!!! Thanks for the feed and the awesome service guys, much enjoyed after a hard bike ride! I will be back for the tapas!!!
The food was good, but the customer service was a bit lacking. We pointed out that Google says they close at 7pm, which nearly put us off coming for dinner, but they weren't too fussed by the error and said that the sooner people leave, the sooner they themselves can go home 🤷. I'm not sure why you'd want to be in hospitality if you don't really want customers to know you're open ....
Lovely and helpful staff, plenty gluten-free meals and desserts, delicious food and lovely atmosphere. Inside is very nice, but not so posh that you feel the need to be dressed up. Overall great experience, and will definitely go again if I am in the area. :)

What a wonderful restaurant! We came for a pre-organized bulk booking, and they managed all 20+ of us so efficiently and well. Turns out that what I had ordered (Pot of Mussels) are no longer on their menu, but they did them for me anyway. They were very yummy! I looked at other meals around me and they all looked so good, especially the salmon. The staff are amazingly attentive and looked after every need we had quickly and well. Highly recommend Johnny's!
Brillant friendly and knows service. Awesome, super yummy food and very ceoliac friendly. Highly recommend the lamb shanks 😉

If you like Whitebait Fritters this place creates the best Whitebait Fritters. They are so fresh and the serve was an excellent size for a main.
One of the better places in Westport... good selection of entrees... some local beers on tap and generous mains... desserts not bad either ... especially the affogato
