Cherry Cafe is my favorite place to eat and drink coffee. It's centrally located yet quietly hidden in a sunny corner behind the rotunda and clock tower. It's the best gathering place for people who walk, cycle, bus or drive and still want to socialize next to water.
Perhaps it's the most romantic place to relax in Auckland. The owners have a real passion for all they do, they give friendly service and the coffee is fantastic.
All are catered for whether it's for a toasted sandwich, French inspired pancakes, Vietnamese steak, moorish eggs, or the freshest chicken or beef pho.
We love your coffee, we think it's the best in Auckland and the Coast!
When we walk there, we love the cold water that's supplied too. They go that extra way to give good service.
Very friendly services. Nice environment with yummy food. Finished with an organic coffee. Awesome brunch. Our favourite disk is the curry chicken rice.
A really nice cafe with a beautiful view, very friendly staff, amazing coffee and delicious food. No complaints and would recommend to anyone!
Cherry Cafe has become a regular stop for us recently. Attentive staff and reasonable delivery time for drinks and food. The food has been great, well cooked and tasty. Loving the option of some Vietnamese dishes on the menu which have been delicious.
We've always enjoyed their coffee - being Vietnamese they probably follow French style coffee.
"French roast coffee is a popular style and one that many coffee drinkers prefer. This dark roasted coffee has a smoky sweetness and can often have a charred taste. This has caused some coffee geeks to refer to it as a 'burnt' coffee." worldwideweb.thespruceeats.com/french-roast-coffee-765178
Great price, excellent service, nice food, homey atmosphere, nice view...would definitely come back on a weekday to enjoy a good relax afternoon.
Enjoyed our meal at Cherry Cafe on a quiet Monday. A limited kids menu but good enough for our lot and the chicken pho soup was absolutely delicious and not overburdened with sprouts which is often the experience. Polite and prompt service. Would come again.
Oliver and his staff will go out of their way to provide whatever you need, just ask. I love the coffee its a lovely strong blend and I try and go in with my family for a meal at least once a week. Like all places they get busy sometimes people just seem in such a hurry these days. I have been going here for three years and love everything on the menu.
I ordered the Ham hash for lunch. It was delicious and fresh. Lightly roasted new potatoes topped with baby spinach, fried mushrooms, 2 perfectly poached eggs, large slices of ham and a delicious herby sauce. Yum. Only minor negative is that it’s described on the menu as a hash so I was expecting the potatoes to be mashed. It was also a very big portion but these are only minor points as it was still very tasty.
Another superb breakfast today. I had the potato rosti which was delicious.
Lovely spot by the marina. Happy they have 2 vegan options to choose from which are also gluten free, would love to see more on the menu. Staff are very friendly with service and a smile. Great coffee too
Cherry cafe is in a lovely spot on the marina. It’s very busy on the weekend and quiet during the week. The service and food are better on the quieter weekdays.
Prices are average for a cafe. Overall a positive experience.
A Great spot for a Sunday brunch and a few cups of coffee overlooking the marina. Very friendly and fast service. My sweetcorn fritter was well presented and had a perfectly poached egg. Well patronised by locals which is always a good sign.
