Had a really special night with friends. Fantastic cocktails, great food, and proactive wait staff. We shared the small plates. Every dish was unique, just a little different from the norm. It was lovely to sit on the balcony as you did not get the high background sound of other restaurants. Tl

We came to no8 to celebrate our anniversary and we are so glad that we did! The food was impeccable the pork belly and tuna were highlights. Service from Sam and Sam was brilliant and they made our night out a real event. Thanks so much and will definitely return.

Food quality: 4. We tried lunch set and it was fine. A bit salty for chicken and sweet for kale salads. Portion: 5 Service:4 Value for money:4.5

Yum! The food was so good and I loved the upstairs lights, so pretty 🤩 We got the flamed tuna sushi, 5 spice duck spring rolls, pork belly baos and the fried prawns. We really enjoyed the prawns and pork belly baos the best, they were perfection 😋 The staff were really friendly but the service was a bit slow for my liking and I had to wave them down both times to order food and drinks.

My partner and I can here for date night and it was lovely. The atmosphere was amazing, very warm for such a chilly night. We had the Karaage Chicken which was delicious had a kick to it but still yum. Our waiter was a young man who was very lovely and attentive, if we had cash we would have tipped him. Would definitely recommend this place to couples for date night. The mocktails are DELICIOUS!!

No.8 never disappoints. High standard of delicious tasting food, definitely quality over quantity. I like how they always mix up the menu and every time we go there it’s a different experience with some of the staple favourites. I’m not a fan of kale but couldn’t believe how tasty their kale slaw is. The staff are always prompt, friendly and attentive and you can tell the genuinely care about the diners experience. One of my favourite restaurants in whangarei for dinner or even just to sit upstairs with a nice Vietnamese style espresso martini and enjoy the view. Thank you to Sam, Sam and Matt for making our recent function such a success

Ruby was great!! Incredible service and the food was absolutely awesome. Super fresh and beautifully presented. It was my partners birthday and they surprised us with this desert as well. Would 1000% recommend coming here!

Had an excellent time at 8 tonight- came in at 8:15 (15 mins before the kitchen closes) and we were still served by the kind staff. High quality food (tandoori chicken karaage, tofu salad, eggplant, and pork belly were awesome!) Decor and ambience were really good too - will come back when in whangarei again

Was here on a Sunday afternoon, live music was good - although a little loud for the setting (unless I am just getting old!) Food was an in-between menu and they were out of one of the things I wanted - but the chicken satay was good, as was the sashimi. Tofu roll was a little dry but good flavours.

Booked ahead and was given a table on the top balcony overlooking the marina: a prime spot! We mainly chose a selection of 4 small plates and one large plate for 4 of us with a mixture of Indian, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine across those 5 plates. They were all delicious. Still had room for dessert so also proclaimed these delicious (lemon almond cake, and the daily specials : Nutella chocolate brownie and donut with plum ice cream). Service was excellent

4 and a half. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her choices and mine was good, tasty, beautifully presented and nicely spiced. Service was good and it is a good place to go to celebrate a special occasion.
