Absolutely lovely. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Really good sized meals and fabulous price range. Service was great with very friendly staff. Recommend if you live or passing through Whangarei.

The only authentic Japanese restaurant in town. Sushi and tempura was so nice. Busy Friday night but didn't wait. Good price and nice food. Highly recommended

Best restaurant so far I can find in Whangarei. Tasty Japanese foods cooked and served by real Japanese. Quality and value are way more better than any "Korean style" Japanese foods. Staff are very friendly. Restaurant is very tidy and clean. Try their lunch box so you can find out how great it is before you come over for dinner.

Such a beautiful environment to be in!! the cutest restaurant. Me and my boyfriend love going here to eat, we’ve been twice in a fortnight! I love the culture in it and the food is so so good, and very affordable <3 we won’t stop going here

It was probably my best Japanese restaurant first time in a long time!! I had been looking for real Japanese taste in NZ for a long time and I found this is very close to what I have in Japan also it’s reasonable!!! Especially I can see the sushi is high quality. If I want this quality of sushi in Auckland I’m sure it costs way more! I will definitely come back when I miss taste of Japan..! Thank you 🙏

Delicious authentic Japanese food and setting - we were delightfully surprised. We had three lunch specials @ $19.50 each, Yaki Udon and two green tea ice creams for $85 which you'll never get anywhere in Auckland. We'd definitely return next time we pass through Whangarei.

We happened upon this place as we passing through and stopped for dinner. As we walked in it was very Smokey but the traditional Japanese decor quickly took our minds away from that. The food was reasonably price and very yummy. The waitresses where in beautiful kimonos and provided lovely prompt service. Next time I would be keen to try their sashimi!
