Review Poivre & Sel - Whitianga

Hands down the best restaurant in Hawkes Bay. Sam’s food is exceptional everytime. If you’re looking for that absolute top class dining, look no further. Compared to places like Craggy and Black Barn, this place is next level and a much better price.

We went for the Christmas Menu, which was delicious. The highlights were the salmon tartare and the chocolate tart, yet the most surprising dish was the beetroot sorbet with gin. The service was attentive and very good!

The four of us dinned here for dinner. We enjoyed it amensly. I had the wine pairing and was glad I did. Nice to try different wines too. The match was a good fit. I would recommend this place

This was our first time dining at Poivre et Sel and a most pleasing experience it was. Loved the ambiance and atmosphere of the setting. The staff are very friendly and polite. The food was great also, well presented and we found you did not leave feeling over full. We would highly recommend this restaurant to others. Will definitely go back again. Thank you for a positive dining experience.

This restaurant is not only absolutely excellent, the quality of both the ambience and the food is consistently superb. We have had the fortunate opportunity to eat here both in Napier and their previous location over a number of years and the experience is fantastic. Not just the thoughtful wine pairings that go with the absolutely delicious food courses but the service is joy to experience. Having said all of that - it is the food, beautifully crafted by the superb chef that is the main experience to go for again and again.

Sea front restaurant adapted from original house. Some of the original features have been kept making an interesting setting. Select meal options for pair with wine and main courses. Food was nicely presented. Comfortable décor.

This has to have been the best dinning experience I have had since the last time a was here. Absolutely the most amazing food wine and service . The attention to detail, taste and textures really is 5 star. Looking forward to the next time . Service was perfect and the wine match was very complementary to the food . A must do experience when in Napier

Wonderful meal. Excellent match of wines (many we wouldn't have had the opportunity to try). Nice environment with just the right amount of service (helpful but not invasive). Thoroughly recommended Poivre et Sel for that special occasion.

A top restaurant in Napier situated right on The Marine Parade. One of the famous Six Sisters properties. Fine dining at it's best. Our party of 10 took our time through 7 courses of the most delicious, beautifully presented courses, paired with a selection of top quality wines chosen to compliment each course. Nice atmosphere & friendly efficient service. I would have liked to take a photo of each course but I was actually too busy enjoying the whole meal & conversation to be whipping out a camera continually. Thank you.
