Review Kufe - Whitianga

Had a very delicious meal here over the weekend. Can confirm the pot of mussels were absolutely divine as were the pizzas. Great menu with good options, plenty of seating choices.

Delicious food and really lovely service. Stunning ocean front views. So hard to choose our dinner from all the yummy options. Fantastic chef and the lovely server took the time to chat about his recent travels and help us to choose from the menu. Such a nice night out, with perfectly cooked seafood options in fantastic sauces, would definitely recommend

This was my first time ever dinning at this magical place, the chefs know how to please the customers with delicious meals within 20 minutes of ordering, the waitress was very polite and the atmosphere was perfect for enjoying the delicious meals. I ordered the Mussels cooked in white wine, then added to a coconut cream, corriander chilli sauce and they were the best mussels I’ve ever tried in NZ

Kufe bar and eatery is easily one of the best Italian restaurants on the coast, the owner is very welcoming, humorous and very attentive to your every need, food and drink options are extensive and the dishes very authentic and absolutely divine. The views from your table are unparalleled and you won't want to leave, if you haven't been here yet then it's time you did, very highly recommended.

We tend to choose Kufe when we go out for dinner. Their menu is extensive and has different interesting dishes. This time we had the fettuccine marinara and chilli prawns, both dishes were delicious. Service is always good and we always enjoy our meal.

The food is amazing. The garlic prawns are to die for and I also love the Ika Mata & lamb pizza too! These three things are pretty much what I order every time now. I’ve been here tons and is my fave place to dine in at in Whitianga. Always highly recommended. @brigita_sutcliffe

We had delicious food this evening - pirogi, fish of the day and a side dish of vegetables. The serving sizes were perfect, as was the ocean view. We look forward to returning soon.

Fish of the day was Trevally. Beautifully cooked and presented with cappers and a light creamy sauce. The chicken in a creamy tomato based sauce with herbs was equally a success. A great find on one of the wettest summer days for a long time. Would eat there again if we pass this way.

From the time we stepped in the door until we left the whole dining experience went seamlessly. Great service. The seafood platter option was a good choice followed by Al Fungi pizza. Highly recommended..we will be back!!

Their fried squid is the best we have EVER had! The sauce was also made in house and wasn't simply out of a bottle. We will definitely be back!

Lovely meal - vegetarian pasta and seafood chowder . Friendly staff and quick service with a lovely view. Very quiet when we went in but still had a nice feel .

Popped in for lunch on Sunday, had the delicious Ceviche, fresh snapper, great taste. Also had the vegetarian cannelloni which was absolutely devine. In our group they were all extremely happy, prawn fettuccine, seafood pizza and pepperoni pizzas. - everyone left satisfied. Drinks were great, Asahi on tap, iced coffees etc. - service was prompt and delightful. Great location and a great way to end a weekend away. Didn’t manage to get a pic of the ceviche etc because I just smashed it back too fast! But this was one of the pizzas. - if you go - get the fish!!

First day in Whitianga so we decided to take a leisurely stroll around to scope out the local eateries. After a tour of many similar looking menus we ended our short search at Kufe and reckon we stumbled on a winner. Greeted by owner Jimmy we were promptly seated at an outside table with a perfectly picturesque view. We settled on the chicken moussaka and the prawn fettuccini - both absolutely delicious. Having never had moussaka before I would describe it as similar to a lasagne but with more variety of flavour and texture, especially with the sprinkling of walnuts. Throughout the meal we were visited and entertained by Jimmy a number of times, always with a cheeky joke and a laugh. And at the end of the meal he even treated us to a homemade limoncello. Great food, great host, great location. I can’t think of a better way to start our Whitianga getaway.

As a visitor we were very happy to stumble upon this gem of a restaurant. Great raw fish entree and both mains were perfect. The pavalova was so light and clean that we thought that we should’ve had one each. Cin Cin Kufe
