Nice atmosphere, live music was great. Steak was cooked perfectly as asked for. Probably the best steak meal I've ever eaten.Garlic bread and chips were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful.

My partner and I arrived late on a Friday night after work, we hadn’t had tea and the supermarket was shut. Our hotel had suggested dinner across the road at the grand hotel, it was amazing. We went back again for our second night of our trip. Best nachos I’ve ever had!! All reasonably priced and such good food! All staff were friendly and one of the girls recognised us when we went back the second night and welcomed us back. Will definitely be going back next time we are in akaroa!!

Stopped in for some bar snacks and a couple of drinks before the drive home. Great open outdoor area on a nice day. Friendly bar staff and bar snacks were reasonably priced and tasty. Will definitely be back!
