This had to be one of the best French Bistro's we have been to.
The atmosphere is perfect, the food superb & beautifully presented, generous portions, beautifully selected dinnerware, glasses etc.
The service was impeccable & the soufflé was without a doubt the best I have ever had anywhere in the world. It also is generous in size!
I am very happy & confident to be recommending Le Bistro des Gourmets.

Great bistro, the food is authentic and representing some French dishes very well, the wine is superb and the service is great too. The French waiter exudes passion in what he does. Highly recommended.
Was surprised to a fancy french restaurant tonight. We ordered the ravioli as an entree, which was absolutely amazing. Filling was juicy and rich in flavour, kind of sour but was a nice kind. Portion was kind of small (4 pieces). For mains, we got the potato and vegetable gratin and the fish with mashed potato in red wine dew. Potato gratin wasn't served as sliced potatoes, but flavour was nice because of the thin cheese layer on top. The red wine sauce was really good with the fish. Dessert was fancy and served in 3 glass squares. Chocolate mousse was rich and I got to taste the fanciest marshmallow ever!

The restaurant is tucked away upstairs. The service was good. We went there for Valentine’s Day. Luckily we got a table as we just walked in, a little late. I had a the lovely fish with tomato salsa. Just prefect. The dessert was simple but delicious.

Scallop starter was lovely with the added theatre of the waiter flambé at the table.
We had the Turbot for main which would not be out of place in a Michelin restaraunt.
Authentic beautifully cooked French food with flavour top of the list. Great service and wine choices.

Honestly the best French restaurant in Auckland i've been so far. Food is excellent, staff is very nice and welcoming, and it's a pleasure to be recommended perfect matching wine for the food your order. We'll sure visit again!
Great food! Great wine! Good value! Enjoy the beef tartare, lots of flavour in the beef. Omg don't forget to try the dessert! Everything was well cooked. The service of wine and food pairings was amazing. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Been there last weekend with friends and we enjoyed the dinning at this restuarant. Seems to be a quiet dinning place at Parnell but the food is definitely worth to try. A big thumb up for the dessert!
We had an amazing, relaxed long lunch here before our flights out of Auckland.
The food was sensational. We tried at least half of the menu. Everything was beautifully plated, each dish had their unique touches and they were all delicious!
You can tell the chef takes great pride in his craft and this is reflected in the plates that came out. Service was friendly, helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend!
Delicious food and fabulous staff. We were delighted to find this hidden gem. The meat was melt in your mouth tender. Lovely warm, quiet atmosphere. Great desserts too. Highly recommend.
Simply beautiful cuisine in a beautiful little setting. My partner is a big fan of the fresh market fish and I always go for the pork fillet with mustard (it is amazing).
Great staff and I always find it easy to get a park nearby.

Highly recommend to anyone wanting to taste abit of France or celebratean occassion. This pettite french restaurant is tucked away and almost hidden. Food was delicious service was was delightful. Loved everything I ordered , "merci beaucoup"👍

Le Bistro des Gourmets in Parnell was a wonderful restaurant find for dinner after work. Tucked away in Parnell Village off the main street, I was warmly welcomed and greeted by the a very pleasant maitre’d and sommelier. The staff was fantastic, hospitable, friendly and warm, not to mention highly attentive. The restaurant itself was charming and unassuming with distinct French flair. I was highly impressed and excited to order wine and food.
I ordered a glass of Domaine Ogier Cotes de Rhône which was exquisite to accompany my sparkling water whilst I awaited my entree of Malibu Flambeed Prawns with Tropical Fruit Salsa. It was a captivating experience to watch the sommelier flambé my dish before me as it added to French dining experience. The dish was exceptional, so much depth of flavour with the delicate texture of perfectly cooked prawn flesh with buttery honey tones cut through with exotic pineapple and passionfruit accents of the salsa, it truly was a heavenly experience for my palate!
Following on I ordered a glass of Clos de Cazaux Gigondas to accompany my main, roasted chicken breast with tarragon jus and seasonal vegetables. Once again, the wine was amazing served in a very bulbous wine glass, and this sang beautifully with my dish.
Finally to end, I was looking forward to enjoying some French cheese with another wine that caught my eye so I enjoyed a selection of 4 cheeses with a glass of Domaine Gachot-Monot Bourgogne. It was the most pleasurable wine and cheese experience I’ve had to date!
I simply thoroughly adored my dining experience at Le Bistro des Gourmets for its fantastic French wine and gorgeous cuisine, not to forget the excellent attentive service. I highly recommend this restaurant for a promise of an exceptional dining experience, consummately delivered. I shall return very soon!
