Mexicali Fresh is ooo lala damn damn damn 10/10 no cap one of the best places in town for Mexican food. Always come here with friends or boyfriends or just anyone this is like my go to place to get food in town and the view is gorgeous on a nice sunny hot day! I always get the chicken quesadilla every time it's my absolute favourite nothing can beat it on god. Go right now GO! get your mexican sis because it's to die for. x
The original Mexicali, pretty quiet vs. days past. But so is the case for all these Auckland brands that have expanded dramatically. Had the barbacoa quesadilla and it was really fresh as usual, although a bit soggy. Side sauces delicious. Service was decent, only issue there were lots of birds flying around focused on a few un-bused tables. Regardless, is always consistently good, can't go wrong with the burritos here either.
Service was alright. The overall place is really cute and there are lots of places to sit. The food tasted great and came quickly. Really nice place but could work a bit on the service.
Ma Taco was well filled, overflow with sour cream & topped off with spicy salsa. Ma taste buds were hanging on da floor with hungry. Washed it down with a steiny pure to finish it off.
Family outing in the city, getting hungry, see a familiar sign and boom we know where we are going.
Fresh, simple food with great flavour. Guys and girls serving were friendly and attentive. Food was great 👍🏻

Definitely one of my absolute favourite places to go and eat!!! They have delicious foods with great portions and I eat there almost every weekend. The only letdown is the customer service, sometimes the staff can be very rude and impatient.
Love the food. My go to is the vegetarian taco salad! Load that thing up and then add extra salsa. They also now do a jackfruit option too, which is nice, however as it is smoked it can get a little sickly!
Came here for a quick dinner a few nights ago.
Ordered the jackfruit nachos as we were after a vegetarian meal. I love how you can see the food prepared right in front of you and there's lots of options when it comes to fillings. I also love that you can choose between sour cream or chipotle and guacamole is free for vegetarian dishes! I very much enjoyed the jackfruit however my partner found it too sweet.

Got staff lunch here today and was actually very impressed! Got the pork carnitas quesadilla (pulled pork), highly recommended as the pork was very yummy. Could have had slightly more cheese but great flavours. Definitely you need to get the fruit salsa, basically I'd recommend getting every possible side / topping to make it a flavour explosion. The corn chips are pretty nice but definitely need some salsa or guacamole. Churros are also nice, not too oily. Yum :) one of the best staff lunches and not too soggy at all. I would recommend. My only gripe is that I find it very expensive for the size, generally Mexican food is pretty overpriced in Auckland, so not surprising.
I personally love the food here. Being from Brazil, I often miss my hometown cuisine and Mexican food is some of the closest I can get. I’m a fan of their Taco Salads. This shop got a great space, a privileged location and a great staff.
Had the Mango Chicken Salad. Garlic & lime chargrilled chicken with fruit salsa and cumin lime vinaigrette. Delicious, fresh ingredients. Guacamole was tasty. Surprisingly authentic Cal-Mex food. Not spicy but big on flavor. Another in my party had a burrito which he thought was bland.
Love coming here for lunch during summer! Great spot with nice outdoor seating and fresh food packed full of flavour. Highly recommended!

A great Mexican restaurant, spacious, clean and well-located. I would recommend the charcoal chicken quesadilla along with a frozen margarita. Great views of the harbour and amazing food. The price is fair and you can also authentic Mexican food, cocktails and desserts. A nice place to bring friends or family. Highly recommended.
We've enjoyed a couple of locations of this chain of restaurants, but the Auckland branch has the advantage of a great location by the water. It also has a very pleasant interior. It's always so nice to have a relatively inexpensive and nice spot to enjoy lunch on the Viaduct.
Excellent service, staff were friendly and polite, food was delicious and a hearty portion. Easy to customise the food to your unique tastes. Plenty of seating indoors or out, and decent background music.

Usual high Mexicali Fresh service and food quality. Nice atmosphere down on the waterfront. I like the fresh ingredients and even my picky boys love coming here when we get a chance
