Awesome coffee and friendly, professional and super staff - and lots to see at this new cafe ! Really like the concept of mixed business and smaller cafe’s as part of group of services. The cafe staff are simply the best on the strip !

We were strolling on ponsonby looking for a place to chill and scroll some ig.. this place has small hidden outdoor seating at the back, quiet crowd. Sunny with cool breeze, is pleasant day to seat out and drink coffee. We will be back to try some of the food.
Archie cafe has turned into a second home for me. Great food and phenomenal service by award winning baristas that provide coffee just the way you like it. Johnny is the best in the biz!
It can be easy to get lost in the crowd out of so many cafes on Ponsonby road, but Archie Cafe is a great spot to chill and get your coffee fix by talented baristas, or have a quick bite to eat from the tasty reliable menu. Great vibes all round :)

Absolutely wonderful coffee, as expected of a champion barista. Food was wonderful, definitely need to combine the food together with the coffee to create the experience.
Came here on a Sunday morning and got the Classic, Reuben and cheese on toast. Can't go wrong with salmon on bagel. Food was only decent but service made up for it. Great outdoor seating great for those with dogs.

Visited this place during labour day and they didnt include 15% surcharge. Had smashed avocado with feta, mint and lemon on toast, bacon & egg brioche and matcha latte. Friendly staff, nice ambience, and good food! Gonna come back again.
Awesome coffee (the guy that runs the place is one of the country's top award winning baristas), awesome food, and awesome genuine service in a cosy spot. What more could you want?
Really enjoyed Archie's relaxed atmosphere. Had a fantastic hot chocolate and the 3 different kinds of toast we ordered were all very good. Although tasty, only slight criticism was the avocado was pureed instead of fresh [to save time turning the order around quickly]. Great [and not fake-y] customer service puts the rating over the top for me. Look forward to going back and trying a couple of the other toast flavors...

The coffee taste is very textured. The taste of almond milk and the taste of the coffee itself are both independent and complementary，picturesque . The environment is small and beautiful. The service is very cordial, like old friends come here in the living room.
Wonderful experience both times I’ve come in now! Whether you’re looking for a quick breakfast sandwich before a surf or wanting a relaxing morning over a perfect eggs Benedict with salmon + pan au raisin the food and service here is amazing. Definitely new breakfast spot.

Came here on a Friday afternoon for a quick coffee.
The person at the counter was very friendly.
The cafe itself is well presented. There are two tables outside the front of Barkers, and a high table inside, but there is a cute little alley with tables and chairs where I sat.
I didn't order any food, but the food that came out to the table next to us looked good quality.
If you are after good coffee and food with friendly service then you should definitely give this place a go.

This place is great, with nice coffee, good food, and WiFi. The options for food are a little limited because they don't have a full kitchen but I highly recommend the "spicy affair" with cauliflower and hummus. Mostly I enjoy the outdoor seating area here which is a small deck along the side and a larger area out the back (although currently with only one table). The staff are all very friendly too.
My first NZ Flat White and it didn’t disappoint! Not to hot, nice and strong, yum! Also had a little scrambled egg pide which was totally satisfying! Thanks Archie!

Archies coffee and service was great. They ran out of the toasted banana bread which seems like it’s a hit with locals as there was none left by 1030am but the lovely lady serving asked what else I felt like and suggested an apricot & custard danish, I was hesitant but got it, and just wow it was very very nice, I would go back:)
