They do seasonal degustation from time to time as part of the hospitality students experience. Food is of high quality, service top notch and really good value for the price we paid.

The food here is delicious. It is a student restaurant which is great. I was disappointed with my order only with the portion for my main. My friend ordered the corned beef with mash which was delicious and decent serving. I felt maybe a waffle or Kumara fries would have complimented my dish better. Good service for trainees.

The service was a tad awkward for me. I know they are practising but we had to prompt the servers. They were very shy, quiet and reserved, but friendly nonetheless.

It was certainly an interesting dining experience.

Had dinner here with a friend as recommended by another friend to try it out.
I have to say the food is pretty good. We ordered from the tapas menu and got a whole different range of tapas.

It was nice to share and have a bit of everything. The lamb was quite good and full of flavour. The seafood dish was good too. Decent sizes and we were quite surprised that it could fill is both up.

You can really tell it is a student run restaurant. It feels like a faux restaurant lol, like you're part of an experiment. I don't know maybe it was just me but I felt like the whole set up from the front of house to the decor to table settings. The dining area was very neat and tidy with candlelit mood lighting.

It's a AUT's Hospitality department student training restaurant. They have full 3 course on the menu, using seasonal ingredients. It is served by student, cocked by students.

Cocktails, mock tails, wines, hot drinks are available at the bar.

I had Garlic custard Mussel as a starter. It was great and not too sweet. Its soup was also nice. My main, Hapuka(fish), was really nice. It was fresh and tasty. I liked how they styled the dishes. They looked beautiful. The best part was the Panettone pudding with custard(i guess) and chocolate. It was a good combination. It was just right for me!

Four seasons is a training restaurant for students studying hospitality and culinary arts. Their food aren't as consistent as commercial restaurant but they certainly taste good. I have dined at Four Season on a number of occasion as my friend is studying Culinary. The food served tasted great and presentation was amazing. The decor of the restaurant varies from function to function. But during normal nighys, it has a calming, gentle atmosphere where you can relax and be taken care of. Overall, Four seasons is a great place to dine in and quite affordable for a three course meal. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to see how AUT does its practicals.

Absolutely amazing. We had our Xmas lunch there.
I ordered the chicken on rice and even though I was scared I wouldn't like it, it was just so tender and full of flavour, I have never had anything like it.

My now fiancee and I have been to 'Four Seasons' probably about 5 times over the last 3 years. A few times with friends and then with family as well. Every time we have been we have had an exceptional experience! The food is top notch, you know the service is going to be amazing as all waiters and waitresses are being assessed. I recommend asking for a cocktail to be made from the bar as they are EXTREMELY well priced just like the food and always taste amazing, they do a great Shirley temple as well!

We have been when they have had their degustation menu as well and it was superb just like their regular menu. You just cant go wrong with this place, well priced, great food, great service in a really great atmosphere as well. If you want to have a great experience out on a date or with family even then I highly recommend 'Four Seasons'. We will continue to dine here for years to come. Well done 'Four Season' you have everything a 5 star restaurant would without paying the high price!

Really great food and the service was terrific!!! And we especially loved the fact that the children were made to feel so welcomed - a really pleasant surprise for such formal restaurant - the kids were given pens and paper, had their own little table and the staff took in turns to play with them!
I can’t recommend Four Seasons enough!!

Four Seasons Restaurant is the training ground for up and coming culinary professionals learning their trade at AUT’s Culinary School. This is set up as a fine-dining restaurant, with student chefs in the kitchen, student front-of-house staff and a tutor supervisor ensuring everything goes according to plan. Due to the student staff, bookings are essential. The restaurant is only open during the week and during semester times, and the menu changes every semester. They also do a degustation dinner one week per month. Prices at Four Seasons are incredibly reasonable; - $10 for an entrée, $20 for a main and $10 for desserts.

For the entrée, I chose the coffee cured venison which was served with a blueberry sauce, caramelised walnuts and topped with fresh blueberries, baby cos and orange segments. The venison was beautifully cured, smokey and you can definitely taste the coffee which complements the gamey meat. I really liked all the flavours and textures on the plate. The coddled eggs is served under a crawfish bisque with poached prawns and chilli lemongrass oil. I am not a fan of runny yolk, and I thought the taste of the bisque was too strong. But it was an intriguing dish and others at the table enjoyed it. There was also an oak smoked salmon served with cucumber mousse and goats cheese, and a vegetarian option of capsicum and tomato bavarois.

For the main, I had the pan-seared lamb rump served with Mediterranean vegetables, polenta cake and black olives. The serving is huge, and I could only manage half of it. The lamb was overdone, but tender and went well with the hearty flavours. The chermoula crusted hapuku was my favourite; this is served with butternet puree and a pea pearl barley risotto. The chicken escalope was very moreish with its delicious gribiche sauce (herby egg and mustard mayonnaise) and house slaw. The chargrilled sirloin is served with straw-cut potato chips and a rocket and beetroot salad.

Really good food. Excellent and friendly service. Staff are AUT students which helps provide experience while they're studying, which is amazing. Extremely good value too!

We have many business meetings in the conference room next door, seats 20-30, and utilise the presentation screen. Sometimes we order food for the conference room, sometimes we go to the silver service restaurant Four Seasons or to the casual restaurant Piko.
