The PLACE served the best sundubu jigae!!!! Tofu soup- best in Auckland !!!! It’s really a hidden gem !!! My fav Korean place now!THEIR STIR fried dishes are legit too!! Must try !!!!
Come here if you are for amazing Korean food on the Shore. Everything that I tried was pretty good but the dishes that I recommend is the bibimbap and definitely their fried chicken. Fried chicken was super crispy and juicy.

Beautiful beautiful authentic Korean food. Also family friendly. Competition on North Shore for Korean restaurants are fierce and this one is one of the best. Huge food selections from the menu, and fried chicken are fabulous. Central location in Takapuna. Heaps parking spaces front or the back. Most parking are free after 6pm. They open days. We were there for dinner on a Sat night. The place is always packed so booking is recommended if you are dining during peak hours. The 3 lady stuff worked really fast and hard, cleaning and turning tables around, friendly with smiles when taking orders. Kitchen is also fast so waiting time is minimal after you placed the order. Serving size is large but you can take away if unable to finish on spot. Highly recomended for a visit if you are Korean Food lover or wanting to try it out.

Rated top 50 cheap eats and Korean restaurant, but it is somewhat average. My kimchi stew was wayy too overloaded with super soggy cabbage. The side dishes were alright but the cheese corn was pretty good ! service was super friendly!
Really good food and portions for the price, and staff are nice. Only downfall is the atmosphere, very basic compared to some other restaurants in Takapuna at similar price points. However I would still recommend checking The Place out if your looking for a good meal. I suggest the bibimbap either hot or cold :)

Good choice if you want to have some Korean food in Takapuna.
I came here with three of my friends and we ordered 7 different kinds of food. (I only took some photos of 굴보쌈)
They seemed quite surprised that we ordered a lot because apparently 굴보쌈 itself is already for four people (Maybe that's why the price seemed like it's for four people as well haha). The food itself was nice but to be honest, I don't think the portion was that generous. I would say it's just for two people. The taste was great anyways. All the other dishes were nice as well.
No wonder why this place is popular. I will probably come back when I can afford it. Haha...
Was recommended this place by a friend and it didn't disappoint. Price is reasonable for amount of food you get and all dishes were tasty. The side dishes were OK, not the best we've had but understand they change from time to time when ingredients and produce are seasonal. Will come again for more.
Awesome shop. The speed at which food comes out from the kitchen despite the shop being packed. Great speed, on top of quality taste.
The price was also reasonable.
Would definitely visit again in the future.
