Before the lockdown here in New Zealand me my friends were trying every Bubble Tea shops we can within Auckland city, I guess we had tried at least four bubble tea shops before the shops had closed and people got restricted to their own bubble. First of this series was Q Tea in Takapuna, just across the road of Shore City Takapuna. This was highly recommended by ones in our friend’s circle since they go here a lot and developed and affinity for the brand, what they rave about this place is the popping boba called bobo, a thing that I haven’t heard before, let alone tried.
One of the best bubble tea place in takapuna. Been there every time I come to takapuna. The staff is lovely too. Would definitely recommend
I like their milk tea and service. Milk tea have really good flavor and service was nice and friendly. And brown sugar pearls are really nice! Good taste and texture. The shop is clean and tidy. However compare their prices with others - they are a bit more expensive.
QTEA is a regular stop of mine whenever I make the trip to the Shore (as you may have noticed from my stories 😅). Pretty much every time I order the same thing: Fresh milk (black) tea w/ brown sugar pearl. The first time I tried it, it blew my mind. Not every place does brown sugar milk tea well - sometimes the fresh milk drink is a hit but their milk tea version is a miss, but QTEA does both so well in my opinion. Plus I love the soft, chewy texture of their handmade pearls (although I feel like they’re not made as soft as they used to be?). Normal pearls just doesn’t even compare anymore. They're also pretty affordable compared to other bubble tea stores in Auckland AND for even more value, use #zomatogold! They've also joined the kumara/taro and purple rice trends, and have a large variety of drinks to choose from

The staff was very friendly. May be because we visited at late afternoon, the pearls in the drink were not that good.

I I keep coming back to this place because this is the only bubble tea place that sells brown sugar pearls in North Shore not to mention their brown sugar milk tea tastes AMAZING!!

Had the egg pudding milk tea with brown sugar pearls. Kinda tastes like caramel milk which was yum. Friendly and attentive staff. Not much for atmosphere if you want to dine in but will be back for takeaway drinks.
The staff was polite with answering questions. The interior was clean and cute with animal shaped chairs. They also had detailed interior decorations with flowers. They did not have chairs to “dine in” however, there were seats outside the store for people to enjoy drinks.
The first time i ever tried bubble tea was at QTea. Since the time I have started visiting this place My Go-To drink has always been the Passion fruit sparkling Green Tea, so fresh and energising . It is like a regular passion fruit juice, but the added fruit slices and fizz make it a fun drink to have.
I usually have my drink with brown sugar pearls, the combination is just the perfect amount of Sweet for me ( disclaimer: some may find it a bit too sweet) .
After having tried so many of the “boba places” , I can surely say that Qtea is by far my favourite 😃
