The place is marvellous, house clubbers, uni students, backpackers, the place is hip and the place to be!
Just had a 21st of over 40 people here last week. Excellent experience from start to finish! :) Really cool vibes in the backbar, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The restaurant manager was super experienced (shoutout to Eve!), organised the entire menu so everything was sorted, and was there throughout the night to help with anything that cropped up. Overwhelmingly positive feedback on the food and drink from the guests- they're not exaggerating about the crispy chicken. Overall awesome venue for birthdays/other celebrations!
So much better than the seedier bars/clubs in this area, so pretty inside and such a refreshingly different and indie energy. Felt really safe with multiple people checking up on people alone, and security aware and stationed clearly. Such a great vibe, one of my favourite places in auckland
Loved the vibe here !! Such a lovely and cozy place. Packed club and music was lit. Enjoyed being here and for sure will be back here.
Cheers
Nice environment and good place for a drink!
Didn’t order finger food but just beer and whisky and the price was quite reasonable.
Really like the interior setting :)
Always a nice visit with friends, the teapots are like roulette - you don't know what you'll love (or revolt - rarely). Atmosphere is great especially when there's a good band on. It can be a victim of its own success and it can be hard to find seating sometimes, but that's a good problem to have.
Great drinks and fabulous staff service. Wish it could have been better if there's a place that's a bit private and not too noisy. Service is okay.
One of my favourite placest to go for drinks! Their teapots are so tasty and very easy to drink. Atmosphere is always great and good music to if you feel going getting on the floor for a dance! Defiantly recommended.
Such a cool place! Had my 21st celebration here in the backbar (there were 40 people+, space wise very comfortable). Organizing the event was a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish- there wasn't much to do, the restaurant manager had everything sorted with the menu (thanks Eve!) and was super friendly and helpful. The guests raved over the food. I loved the crispy chicken (even better than they say). The prawns, squid, polenta chips, meatballs, arancini balls, beef sliders were also fantastic. The signature teapots are cute and fun. The bar and restaurant staff were efficient and very approachable. It does get a bit hot as the kitchen (and your own private bar!!) is in the back bar (I was fine, some of my friends though it was hot), but you can go out into the main bar for a breather/order the signature teapot cocktails. Overall highly recommend for your own event or just a night out- great fun, food and drink!
I love this place everytime i visit; was recommended by few friends.
Quite popular for drinks in tea pots, cocktails and nibbles and ofcoarse live bands on weekends.
Pretty cool and chilled place and ambience. Located on. Vulcan lane in Auckland city centre.
It has got street side balcony seatings. We find it really good and refreshing.
I love there drink tea pots and nibbles.
Came here for dinner and I really enjoyed everything about this place.
From the minute I walked up the stairs into the restaurant I loved the ambience. It's a very cosy and intimate place to have dinner or a quiet drink. The whole place has this lovely mood lighting, enhanced by the candle lights. They have lovely booths to sit in if you want something more private.
The food was lovely and arrived in big portions. The burgers a huge and are beautifully presented on wooden boards. Tasty, well cooked and the desserts are equally large in size.
Service was warm and friendly.
A trip down the memory lane. When Cassette Nine first opened, it was one of the coolest places to go as uni students, to hang out with a few cocktail shots from its famous teapots and dance all night long. M and I would head out on Tuesday nights on more than several occasions, and dance to indie tunes with that lesbian chick, no assignments or tests worries allowed. It's definitely not the same place any more, and no longer has the same appeals as to our younger selves. Still, ah, the memories.
The ambience of this place was perfect holding a private room with a bar tender.
The club manager was super super helpful, and the bar manager was extremely flexible and accommodating with all of our requests. The guests loved the venue and the drinks, which was the icing on the cake. A big thanks to the staff who were very helpful. We are very grateful to you guys as we couldn’t have asked for more to make my 21st birthday party a more memorable one!
The teapots are very fun to order, and fun to share. The music is a not really my taste, but it is a fun vibe. Toilets are very clean, four stalls in the females toliet. Service is quick for a club/bar. Don't expect snacks though, ot tales over 30 mins after 9pm. Is a little difficult to see the entrance on the street.
Hip little spot with a great balcony and gorgeous, friendly and helpful staff. They have a pub dog 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 and a wide selection of drinks. I found the teapot cocktails a bit too sweet for my palate but I think they are made to share as shots given the presentation. Worth a visit! (FYI no disabled access)
dope time, drinks were priced perfectly and tasted amazing
There was a fee to gain entry into the club but I can't remember how much. Only been here once but this place had a great atmosphere and a great live performance. They serve cocktails in TEAPOTS!! That's epic.
Only thing I will say is that the floors and seats were a bit wet in some places. FYI they do also serve food here so be sure to soak up your alcohol with some fries, I'd come here again :))
Cassette Nine will be my hangout spot whenever I am in New Zealand. My friends and I walked past looking for a place to eat. It was after 9pm so most restaurants were no longer serving food. Moses, the bouncer, gave us some food options then began talking about the establishment, the DJs, the Tuesday international visitors raffle (yes they raffle off excursions and other prizes so visitors so can get to experience NZ for free), etc... we left to find food but returned to check it out. The music was great and we danced the night away. If you go tell Moses we sent you 😊
Iconic venue. The staff were super friendly. The bouncers were pretty strict with ID's so make sure you take one with you.
Bob's your uncle is a teapot, a must try.
Funky and cool. Nice little hole in the wall in Auckland. Service was fine but nothing to write home about. We only stayed for one drink before heading out for dinner elsewhere...
2nd time there and the vibe is absolutely amazing. The drinks and food are wonderful. Sound system rocking and the staff lovely!
Fun seasonal events and art, can this get any better?
