Excellent sushi shop: fresh and tasty, wide variety, and they're open late enough to get dinner. It seems most sushi shops close in the afternoon, so we love this place for dinner.

Went there for a late lunch/early tea and they had the mini bite size salmon sushi- 10 for $7 which is really good value. Their portions are generous and the staff are friendly. Would recommend for sure

I love coming to this place. They also offer donburi bowls now as well. I believe the owners are Korean, so the rolls have a slight Korean twist. Pros: - Lots of variety (both raw and cooked filling options) - Reasonably priced - Tastes fresh - Friendly and welcoming staff Cons: - Gets super busy during lunchtime rush. Lines are sometimes out the door - Small store - only a small table outside to eat, so more of a pick-up-and-go place.

I think this is one of the best sushi places on the North Shore. If I am in the area it is hard for me to pass up a trip here to grab some of their delicious sushi! Always fresh and great selection.

I don't have any bad words to say about Sushi-Ya Sushi. It's one of my favourites! Even if it's super busy (which it does yet at peak times) it's never too slow to care about. The sushi is great, and because of its popularity, they're always making more - so you know it's fresh as it can be. Always a great experience.
