Great place, great tasting food and drinks, and kind people. I came here from Indonesia to experience the south part of New Zealand. Wondering around the quiet town, we bumped into this place to chill for a bit before dinner time which is 5pm. Coffee is great, hot coco is great as well! Inside the place is very aesthetically sound, and they have the kindest people serving. Go for a try!
Great location, spacious cafe, friendly and attentive staff, pram and wheelchair access and high chairs available. Simple menu, variety selection of cabinet food, good coffee could be better. Easy ordering and relatively fast table service. Would go again.
Firstly, I was attracted to Black&White Coffee Cartel due to their generous offer today of free coffee for all! This was such a welcome treat for a tiresome staffer who needed a pick-me-up. Great coffee, thank you!
First impressions of this cafe, it having a very stylish, yet electic and charasmatic decor, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
It was first official meal after I move into Christchurch! It was so nice warm weather, and had amazingly well toasted bagel with fresh salmon. Salad on side was not really fresh but creamy cheese was so good. Coffee? No need to mention. Simply best place for brunch!

Spotted this gem of a cafe on Google Maps and decided I had to try it - not disappointed at all for my first encounter with New Zealand cafes. Scrumptious brunch food paired with great coffee and comfortable decor - couldn’t have asked for better!
Black and White Coffee roast their own beans in store and by the taste of the coffee they do a damn good job. The casual friendly atmosphere is great and the food superb. The grass area is a real treat in a central city location and it was lovely to sit in the sun. I would recommend swapping to black aprons with a white screen printed logo however, as the light coloured ones looked dirty. Great overall experience, we will be back for more coffee.

As most of those cafes. Very nice and friendly staff. Good food and beverage selection. Maybe just a bit dissapointed with the amount of food I had in my plate (remove the napkin and cutlery and the plate is half empty) compared with other Black & White coffee in Christchurch.
