My partner and I were travelling from Australia. We started our trip in Christchurch and made the stop to Grater Goods. We were so blown away with the amazing vegan food and wonderful service. We got the special loaded fries and kft plate. We loved it so much we made sure we went back before going home. We got the special tofu fish burger and the frickin burger with the lot as well as the crème brûlée. It was beyond incredible! Shout out to Zoe our beautiful waitress and Pete the chef. I can’t wait to come back to Christchurch just to visit Grater Goods again!

Nice and cozy French Vegan cafe / restaurant , about 15 mins walk from CBD but totally worth discovering. We have been coming here and supporting regularly for years and it’s great to see the place growing, as there aren’t many pure vegan places in this city. Good option of brunch/ dinner food including seasonal and specials of the day, influenced by French and Moroccan cuisine. My only wish is less fried food and more healthy fresh options. Not too many seats inside and place can get quite busy in the weekends. They make their famous produce as well focused on vegan sausages worth trying / buying. There is little shop on site.

First time visitors to this fantastic eatery and plant based deli. What a treat. The food was delicious and generous. The staff were super friendly, which made the experience all the better. Highly recommend trying this place out even if you aren't a plant based eater, go and take a look.

Grater Goods is an inconspicuous gem of a restaurant in the Christchurch dinning scene. The food is superb, with a French fine dinning influences and flavours that won't leave you indifferent. They have great wines to match, but if in doubt they'll offer you a tasting before you order, plus Helena (the manager) understands their wines and will happily advise you if you're in doubt. The service is attentive and warm, and also effective. Finally the decor is modern, with an industrial feel, and will make you feel good. Tables are well spaced out with various features that enrich the experience and nice vibe. Definitely, worth a visit.

Easily the best vegan experience in the city. Highly impressed with the vegan salmon and menu overall. Filling portions! Very helpful and knowledgeable waitress and their grocery section is excellent, especially their pastrami. Shame it's such a walk from the centre of town is all.

5/5 amazing food with fantastic service, a good little shop as well. Grater Goods has very quickly become my favourite restaurant in Christchurch. This is the kind of place that doesn’t have a 10 page menu, but instead what they do they do extremely well. Their specials get updated frequently, I always get the loaded fries and have yet to dislike one! Plenty of non-vegans have accompanied me, and all of them have absolutely loved their food. Hot tip: don’t skip past the starters, they’re all amazing. The Grater Goods team has always made me feel welcome and appreciated. I never realised how big of an impact great service can make on a dining experience until I discovered Grater Goods. Even though I’m not a big ‘dining-in’ person, I come here at least once a month and look forward to it every time.

Best Reuben sandwich ever, and I’m fussy about them. Amazingly it was VEGAN. Just the right level of spiciness and a delicious fresh pickle. The owner talked me through the meal and figured out exactly what I wanted. I felt cared for and uplifted by her ethics and hospitality, at a level you don’t usually get in a restaurant.
