Absolutely loved the food. Son ordered butter chicken, not my style but had a taste and it was divine. I ordered Lamb Jalfreizi and that was spot on. Owners were superb to deal with, kind, welcoming and warm. Seriously give this place a visit. Wasn't our first time here and it won't be the last.

Very nice and spacious Indian restaurant to have one of the best food in Christchurch. Food was above expectation. Suitable for parties. Parking available.

Whether its take away or dinning in, the service is great. Food portion and taste adds to a wonderful experience. Though their the Naan bread is big and filling, it lacks taste and texture for me..

Super cheap and good curry. I went there for lunch and ordered spinach curry made it very hot. I was surprised they offered me rice and nann bread. Normally you wouldn't get nann bread unless you pay for. But the spinach curry was just spicy and didn't taste much. Staff was very friendly.

Absolutely fantastic. Whilst all the standard Indian dishes are all there, this restaurant offers so much more; things I have never seen before. The service was courteous and prompt and the owners were genuinely trying hard to provide an excellent service. Lovely people. They were attentive, there when we needed them but didn't hover. The food was flavorsome and the portions were much larger than most other Indian restaurants where you get a bowl full of gravy and the meat is a treasure hunt. The owners were especially kind to my grandson who, as we were leaving, asked if they had dessert. They came back with a mango icecream. I would thoroughly recommend you try this restaurant as it provides great value for money

Great lunch deal, the butter naan is really yum and they give you enough for two people. I recommend the lamb saagwalla & the chicken bhuna.

The Delhi is a great place to share a scrumptiously delicious meal!! The food was absolutely exquisite, I would highly recommend the Prawn Malabari. It was a relaxing and cultured setting with the real Indian culture surrounding you, which was a great way to get a tiny taste of what India has to offer!! And to tie it all together, the service was lovely and everybody was so kind. They continuously made sure that your food was absolutely fine and you were very comfortable! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would certainly go again! I highly recommend this delicious restaurant!!!

Royal Tandoor have Wonderful Indian food with excellent service. What exceeded our expectation was the warmth and ease of the staff. However, the food was great - especially the cod which I would recommend to anyone, and value for money was absolutely undeniable. The restaurant is simple but very pleasant. The food was really excellent - far beyond and above what one ought to expect for the price. The service was extremely attentive and professional. Exceptional value for money in a truly relaxed environment.

Delhi Kitchen made such an unforgettable marvelous impression upon us. As my elderly mother was approaching the doors, the charming owner came dashing forward to hold the door for her. What a lovely opening gesture to start the wonderful welcoming to their business! Once again, our knight in shining armour doorman politely asked my mother where she would feel more comfortable sitting. This gentleman should be giving lessons at charm college, what a gem! The establishment itself was beautifully decorated and we were given a very comfortable seat with an immaculately laid out table. We were then presented with a nice chilled bottle of water and ordered a sweet and refreshing lassi. It was absolutely exquisite and really had a heavenly taste. Mango is truly a gift from the gods! Their menu was very clear and presented a splendid selection of tantalising and tempting tasty offerings. Their tandoori mushrooms and the vegetable pakora were a delicious start to our meal. This was followed by two mouthwatering mains. Both the kadai chicken and the London garlic lamb were outstandingly prepared and accompanied by fabulous fluffy basmati rice. We mopped up the juices of our meal with some aromatic and sumptuous pea and potato stuffed naan bread. The joy of divine bread from the subcontinent has to be one of the greatest pleasures of living. I absolutely love Indian breads! During the course of our meal, a very sweet and attractively groomed Indian lady checked to ensure that we were pleased with our meals. As the meals were incredibly generous, we had some leftovers which she obligingly said she would box up for us to take away. And as we went to leave after settling the bill, this same charming character went out of her way to kindly open the door for my mother thanking her and wishing her a good night. Delhi Kitchen, you have truly performed with true panache and we left very very happy with our superb experience. You have a beautiful bar area and your service and food were first rate. We are true aficionados of Indian food and Christchurch sports a few sublime offerings when it comes to Indian cuisine. We rate you in the top with ease! We were also impressed to hear that you will be opening up for Christmas Day! What an excellent initiative from your part! We wish you and your team all the very best. Superb job team! Your front and back staff form a fabulous unit of symphony which deliver a quality experience for your diners. We cannot wait to return. There is ample parking too which is so great. My only critique is how time flies when one is truly having a lovely time with loved ones surrounded by such magnificent food. Really lovely to hear the beautiful sound of Indian music gently floating around the restaurant also. It really added to the authentic experience!
