We ordered from here for the first time in a number of years. We don't often order Chinese as it can be 'gluggy' compared to Thai food. We were very pleasantly surprised with large portions and good quality (cheap) food. We will definitely be ordering more takeaway Chinese from New Wok.
I am always a bit dubious about takeaway Chinese but was pleasantly surprised. We ordered for the family and there was more than enough to go round. The food all came in large portions with bright coloured fresh vegetables, The sweet and sour chicken was fantastic lots of tender chicken and not too much batter. The sauce was very nice. Black bean steak was also very good fresh crunchy vegetables a good amount of tender steak in a tasty sauce. The Chicken noodles and combination rice were good too. Everything was very fresh tasting. My partner went to pick up, the food arrived in the 20mins advised, he said the place was clean, a bit cold during the wait. Prices are pretty normal for Chinese takeaway $11-13. All in all a good experience. We will order from here again.
Is the best Chinese in chch. Most delicious food ever. Really fast. Very cheap if on a budget and great sized meals. Family rated been going here for years

Great food. Went there to order this evening. our order was taken by a cute we lass who'd barely be 7 yo. My wife thought she was very cute despite some difficulties with the maths and we laughed when we saw the hand written order that referred to her as "old lady"!! LOL

Quick service, fresh food and affordable, reasonable price
Several years ago I went here, and found the meals to be unappetising, but after coming back the food quality has actually gotten pretty good! I'll definitely be coming back here more often.
Fantastic place and obviously family run. The "young" order takers are both adorable and excellent at customer service.
The food is fantastic and well and truly at the top end of Chinese food around. Highly recommend this place and I doubt you'll be disappointed. 😁👍

The food and service here is always top shelf. Tonight, being occasional customers the staff recognised us straight away and asked if we would like our usual dish, which we did.
The friendliness of the staff is great, their food is always consistent and beautifully presented. It was about time we gave New Wok a review and we’ll be back soon.
