Amazing coffee, very tasty Lush Lemon slice, cool decoration and super kind staff! The toilets are clean, and the café is located in a heritage building made of old stone with cosy atmosphere. Just what I needed after long hours driving from the North.

Nice cafe, friendly staff, yummy oat milk flat white and had a peanut butter and chocolate chip muffin, which was extremely yummy and not too over powering with the peanut butter.

The most delicious slices I have ever eaten! my favourite is the salted caramel! Beautiful service whether it's delivery or in-store.

Popped in as I had a quick look from the street. There food display cabinet won me over and so glad I went in. Great service and fantastic food. Thanks so much. Had the falafel vege wrap (toasted). Wow super tasty. I will definitely be back many more times. Thanks The Standard Kitchen Team 👍🏼😄

Food was very good. Ended having breakfast there 3 times while we were in Dunedin. Comfortable place, close to our hotel.

Place is very aesthetic and nice. Service was great and the latte was excellent! Cabinet food was also fresh and tasty. If only they open on the weekends I would have visited them more often! Opens early but closes at 2pm.

Back for the Beef Brisket, no wonder they had sold out last time.

I haven't been to SK much since it changed ownership and overall, it still has great ambience, a good selection of cabinet food and friendly service.

One of my favourite cafes in Dunedin, they have a yummy, varied menu and great coffee. I recommend the SK bowls and the savoury scrolls. The staff are lovely and friendly and the cafe is located in a cool, restored heritage building.

First time visit and we all left promising to return! Great breakfast / brunch menu and superb quality. Whether it is the spicy scrambled eggs or the build your own 'SK Bowl', there's sure to be something to please even the most lucky of palates.

This is definitely not one of the usual coffee chains, although limited in selection when it comes to coffee, they do a good job on it. The space is nice, with large windows giving lots of natural light, and the downstairs seating is quite plenty for a cafe as well. Food looks good though I didn't get to try them, but I could smell what seemed like bacon from my visit. Though do note tap to pay is not available on their terminal.

This was a great surprise to find somewhere that provides such a different menu to the norm. We had a late Sunday breakfast and ordered the pancakes and the pecan/pumpkin/toast/bacon combo with some coffees. The food is awesome, with great ingredients and lovely flavours. The coffee is fantastic (so I had to have two cups). I really like the modern decor and the service is top notch. A new fave in Dunedin 🙂

I was in Dunedin for the rugby and decided to give The Standard Kitchen a go. Friendly welcome but the flat white I had was lukewarm and lacked clout.

The scrambled eggs and hot smoked salmon was okay.

The decor is a bit basic.

Total cost $21.

The Iconic and Nova are a much better bet for breakfast.

I don't think I will be back.

Came here on a Saturday afternoon for lunch with my partner. We both ordered the Turkish eggs and we weren't really too sure what to expect. We went down stairs and sat at a bar that looks into the kitchen where you can see your food being made. Wasn't a long wait and the food came out and I can tell you we will be back for more. It was by far one of the best dishes I have tried in Dunedin so delicious. We used all our toast up soaking up the yummy garlic yoghurt and paprika.
