Food was amazing! Loved the popcorn cauliflower, braised pork to die for, the margarita slushie was great. Amazing service, too, super impressed with everything. Awesome vibe. Ten stars.
Lovely welcoming staff followed by delicious food. I ordered the Abodo* Grilled chicken tacos which were juicy and packed with flavour, the salsa sauce tasted amazing and to top it I was given a complimentary portion of mexi fries from the chef so that was a nice gesture :D
Pulled jackfruit quesadillas and tacos were absolutely amazing! Coronaritas went down a treat as well. Lovely staff, wonderful ambience and stunning decor makes for another guaranteed visit.

We had the pleasure of having a light lunch there today. The chips that were served up along with the complimentary sauces were the best that we'd ever had. They were cooked to perfection, clean and crispy. The sauces were made in store and were unique in flavour.

Great experience. The food was awesome value and reasonably priced. Cooked really well and full of flavour, there is also a decent variety.

A great venue for pretty much any size gathering.
Place was humming on Friday night, had to wait a while but was worth it as the cauliflower tostada was epic. Very different from usual Mexican affair in a good way, light but filling. Had a couple of mates ribs which were decent but would want something with them...
Food and environment were fantastic, the staff was friendly and welcoming. The presentation of the food was top notch. Portions were great for the money, almost too much!
Qualms: in the chimichanga there’s no mention of red cabbage on the menu however the wrap was filled with it.
Like another reviewer mentioned the margarita needs work. Poor margaritas seems to be an issue in Dunedin so Mamacita isn’t the only establishment with this struggle.
Overall decent experience, will be back, best Mexican option in Dunedin.

Gutted I drop a load down my front but what can I say I have a eating disorder 2 hands one mouth.
