Review Miga Hako - Dunedin

If you are on a budget, you're better off cooking at home. Can't cook? Come here ASAP. By far, one of the MOST AFFORDABLE food you can get in Dunedin. Food : Delicious and affordable for it's price point! Overall 4.5/5 Service : When it gets busy service might be a bit hectic but that's understandable. Staffs are consistently polite! Overall 4/5 Atmosphere : When it gets crowded indoors ot will be a bit noisier and spaces will get congested very quickly. Overall 3/5 could be improved. AGAIN IF YOU ARE ON A BUDGET, COME HERE!!!

The food was very tasty. Some stools could do with repairing and cleaning of the seating area. It's not just roadwork dust in there.

Poor resto being right in front of the construction work, with very noisy machines the entire day! The food is nice, it's not an authentic bimbimbap but definitely worth $10.

Richard is a legend, and the bibimbap is one of the most value for money items in Dunedin. Disappointed it's recently lost the fried egg as part of the meal but still slaps.

Not sure if im right, but the bun tasted homemade and it was really delicious. The owner and staff members are so nice and welcoming. The food had big portions with affordable prices. Really great places for student !!! Edit: im back again to try the chicken bap, incredible amount and variety of veges and food. Super tasty and fresh, staff members are nice as always! Will come back to try other things!

Great innovative menu, fabulous prices, what a gem to find. I both love and hate that this is a small family run one store business. Love it because I aim to support businesses exactly like this one. Great food, price, service - just awesome. Hate it because I'll have to travel all the way back to Dunedin to enjoy it again. I had Beef Bibimbap and the Kimchi Fries and left very very satisfied.

This place is famous for their fried chicken, we tried it and I can say is really flavorful. The plate is big, comes with a good portion of rice and vegetables. We also had the dumplings, which are huge and also delicious. The place is always busy, we had to wait around 10 min for our food to be served and we were there in between lunch and dinner. There are several tables to sit down. Overall very good price/quality relationship, dumplings were 3.5 dollars each and chicken was 12 dollars.

Richard is a famous legend around uni and looks after students very well. His food is very well priced, great portion, very tasty and nutritious (full of veges)! We asked Richard to cater for a small conference on a Sunday (his only day off of the week) and he came in, cooked and helped us! He is very happy to make adjustment to cater for all the dietary requirements. Everyone enjoyed the lunchbox he made and we could not be more grateful!

Haven’t even eaten it yet, bro seemed so nice, fast cooking super friendly, egg looks perfect, so well priced too, I’ll be back soon.

I hope they never change the price or quality of their bibimbap. I was initially skeptical, seeing as what they served did not look as advertised. But man that's so tasty. I love it

The best chicken in town. I'm glad I added extra chicken

I love this place and go here frequently. Unfortunately there was a caterpillar in my food, so I have removed a star.

The food has always been solid, never had any issues with it. Would recommend. The service is always fantastic and i'm pretty sure they never forget a face.

4.5/5 I had popcorn cauliflower on rice, and my wife had a tofu bibimbap. They were both very filling, tasty, and probably some of the most generous portions you can get for that size at a restaurant in Dunedin. I don't generally adore cauliflower, but when it's done right, especially this way, it's amazing. Staff are very friendly. The menu is quite limited, and there was only one option that was both gluten-free and vegetarian, but it was impressive enough to come back for. I'm assuming the limited menu helps keep the prices and wait times down. The messy-ish seating area can be explained by us arriving in the middle of lunch, but the windows and the footpath sign need a good clean.

Miga Hako is a very cheap eat ~$10 for lunch and packed with flavour. The staff are also very friendly and serve the food within 5 mins. This was the best food I ate during my time in Dunedin.
