We found this restaurant, more like a pub , place in the heart of Dunedin, while visiting a city.
Great cocktails, huge selection of NZ beers.
From small lunch menu, we ordered Steak, that was overcooked, but I loved mushed potatoes and a small green salad with vinaigrette dressing and duck risotto, that was ok too.

A reasonable pub in the middle of town. A good range of drinks, including beers, wines and spirits. They also provide some food, that is reasonably priced. The staff are helpful and friendly. Worth a try.

Great pub with awesome vibes. Fun place to grab a drink and catch up with friends. Their mulled wine is yummo. Service by the bar staff and Manager was absolutely faultless. You are made to feel soooo welcome. We had the rump steak meal which was ok, I guess you expect that with a $16 rump steak meal however the truffle mash potatoes were divine.

While visiting Dunedin, we called into the Dunedin Social Club for a drink. It has great atmosphere and we enjoyed our visit. Service was quick and friendly. We would be happy to return again when next visiting Dunedin.

Great little bar restaurant, table service only due to covid 19, Staff were friendly and efficient, food prices were amazingly good value and the food was good. Good honest pub grub at great prices. Well done 👍

$16 each for two fantastic lunches, bargain. Both perfectly cooked. Super friendly bar tender who loves Dunedin and was happy to chat. Great location to sit, chat and people watch.

We came here on Saturday night after dinner for a round of drinks and small bites. I didn't enjoy the atmosphere of the place, it was dark and cold, and felt quite dirty as well. The tables were not cleared or cleaned after the previous customers and was neglected until we left. We had ordered a jug of beer for $18 and some wedges. The beer was great, cold and refreshing. The wedges were underwhelming and quite tasteless and soggy.<br/><br/>Service was not great either - the pool table which was still lit was not occupied so we tried to set up the table. However a staff member immediately came up to us and said in a rather annoyed tone that it's no longer to be used, before immediately switching off the overhead lamp.<br/><br/>It became too cold to sit there any longer so we left after a bit.

A lunch at Social Club on a Sunday. Weekend beer was only $6. I had a 200g steak with green salad for $16. The steak was slightly overcooked. My wife had the beautiful beer- battered market fish (which was Monk fish - “poor man's lobster" as it was sometimes called).
