Review Adjo - Dunedin

Had breakfast. Egg Benedict was really good, but the egg on toast didn't mark our expectation. Cappuccino was nice and poppy seed on lemon cake was yummy. Once of the spacious cafe in George street. Parking is bit difficult now, because of the road work.

I came across Adjø as it is close to where I’m staying while visiting Dunedin. I ordered the Danish Meatballs. The dish looks deceptively small but it’s filling and very delicious. The star to me in the tasty remoulade that pairs very well with the meatballs. I love the casual, funky, laid-back atmosphere too. I’ll be back!

First...it's busy...what good place isn't? The attention to detail is obvious from the hot chocolate to the plate presentation and quality of the ingredients. This Cafe seats 34..it would be full if it seated 134.

Coffee was unique and nice! A tad on the sweeter side for me but it was still really good. Recommend the hokey pokey coffee. We had the eggs ben and open face salmon sandwich. Both were delicious!

I absolutely adore this place! The coffee and porridge combo in the morning is fantastic value. The peanut butter rice porridge is a true delight - incredibly satisfying and absolutely delicious.

Their menu is delicious & distinctive. Such a joyous alternative from the traditional Cafe offerings. I loved all I tried and I got a great sample - from creamy hot chocolate, to haggis, stewed apples and meatballs. I got to try the sweet & the savoury and they were scrumptious. Rich, subtle, unique and utterly satisfying. The mix of textures and deceptively complex flavours across the meal and drink make it for a great experience too. Wonderful staff, great music, warm and chill. What a great find!

Wow. Fantastic food and drinks. The smørrebrød tastes delicious, especially the self-made bread. The coffee and the self-made lemonade are also very good.

A Danish-based restaurant serving delicious porridge and sandwich options. Decent seating, with a nice outlook not far from the gardens. The salmon and meatball sandwiches are go-to, and have always been delicious. Wait-time can be a little long, but it's a good place to sit & wait.

Damn good porridge, tasty teas, amazing coffee, and incredibly friendly staff. Serving size was larger than I expected which was great because I'm a bit of a porridge fiend. Lots of different porridge options too so plenty of reasons to return. There are also other options if you're feeling something different. We got here nice and early so it wasn't too busy but the cafe filled up over the hour that we were there.

So nice to see your new space with tables available! Tasty food, always a delight of flavours and extra nice touches for the cabinet food ordered. We come here every time we visit Dunedin.

Danish cafe with cool staff, excellent coffee & a chill alt vibe. Menu serves oat or rice porridges & smørrebrød, & the best eggs bene I've ever had - all their food is delicious. Nice spot looking out towards the park and Botanic Gardens. I've never been disappointed.

Cosy and sweet wee cafe opposite the gardens and New world.I was tempted too try the porridge has I have heard good things but I went for the Confit Fennel on toast as its something you never see on offer anywhere.I am so glad I did absolutely delicious !! They also had mulled wine and schnaps on offer which I bet is delicious but unfortunately i was driving so could not drink.Looking forward to going back!

Such a delight! The sodas are divinely refreshing and the food is just fab. I had good old salmon, and oh my flipping g. I don't know if anywhere has ever presented such a healthily fulfilling version as this! The meatballs were a totally different take on your usual, and IMHO the absolute shizz. Best coffee for days too btw. Love it.
