Visited for the vegan options. I got a sausage roll and an apple turn over. The service was so friendly, the owner was excited to point out the huge range of vegan offerings. It’s so nice to have inclusive menus - especially for those with dairy allergies. I don’t normally eat carb heavy foods but I’ll make a trip back for sure. P.S don’t get this store (ellerslie) mixed up with the Takapuna store. The Takapuna store has very limited vegan options.
Was told about Richoux on my drive home, stopped in for some vegan donuts. Dropped $20 on some damn good deliciousness. The duck and mushroom pie 12/10 was so flavourful and the sauce was so creamy I second guessed the vegan label. The cream donut was a solid 10/10. I didn’t even look through all the cabinet food. So many options for all diets. Will be back very soon! Thanks guys, keep up the great work! 🎉
Amazing Christmas fruit mince pies!! Really yummy and great value. Also tried their steak pie - awesome! If you are looking for great tasting, affordable bakery food. This is the place to go. Quick tip - they also take orders for stuff - like da mince pies🤪
Absolute best pies in Auckland! Love how flaky the pastries are. Always buy their pies at least once a week (reducing it now a bit 'cause, woops, belly fat!). It is so, so good. We highly recommend trying out their award winning pies!
Chicken, cranberry, camembert(5.5$), Steak,cheese(4.8$). Long black(4$) Chicken pie was good, that cheese was so good but I hope there’ll be more cranberry and chicken chunk. Also Long black was also good. But I don’t suggest the Steak cheese pie. It’s too salty and salty and salty.
Two words.. VEGAN PIES. In my lovely photos, there is samples of the vegan steak and cheese, the vegan creamy mushroom and the vegan chicken, cranberry and mushroom. I have become a regular here and am so happy there is a trusted source to get my pie fix!
Steak and Cheese pie was good, love the big chunks, just pastry not flaky. But overall love, and sandwiches are bomb as! Defs will go back to this place.
We had the pleasure in trying their award winning vegan pies today. We tasted the "Chicken", "Mince and Cheese" and "Steak and Cheese", our favourite was the chicken. It's so lovely to have yet another great provider of vegan pies! At $6 a pop they're well worth it. Happy tummies! My only reason for this being a star down from 5 stars is the "cheese" was not melted, it was kind of just placed on the pie. No biggie though! Just would've been perfect if it was.
So good, this is my go to pie spot. The steak and cheese is the only pie I get but all the others should be up to par as well 👌 highly recommended
Service was fast and friendly. I am not really into pies but their chicken Camembert and cranberry pies is just too good to pass up. Their toasties were great too!

I recently visited Ellerslie Bakery and Cafe and was thoroughly impressed! The food was delicious and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they had gluten-free options available. The prices were also very reasonable. What stood out to me the most, however, was the friendly and polite staff. They made me feel welcomed and valued as a customer, which was greatly appreciated. We absolutely wanted to try the vegan pies and were pleasantly surprised. We tried a variety of their sweet and savoury pastries and enjoyed every single one of them. We realy appreciated the kindness and patience from the staff and liked the ambience in the small shop. Thank you for the great food!

Born in NZ and lived on pies my whole life and I'm Soo impressed with the quality of the pies I had here. 100% recommend to try! Pastry was on point and gravy was perfectly balanced. Meat super flavourful just needed a few more pieces but overall a solid 8.5/10 for our first experience. Well done and thank you.
I was driving through the neighbourhood and was starving. I asked Google to recommend a good bakery for lunch, which is what came up. What a treasure! Ordered a gourmet steak cheese pie and a latte. Coffee was above the standard but much better than 95% of bakery I have had. But the pie was AWESOME! Very rich wine flavour, big chunk of meat, fanatic pastry, everything is excellent! You have to try it whenever you pass by! Highly recommended!
The pies are just good. A nice surprise to find this patisserie at Takapuna’s main Street. Vegetarian and vegan pies are also available. The service is warm and friendly.
Yum!! I guess there are worse things to be addicted to right. The caramelised Pork Pie, yum. Chocolate Cake, yum. Vegan Pecan Pie, yum. Your deliciousness is making me need to work extra hard in the gym just to come back for more as I work my way through the cabinet of yummy 😀
