Had a lunch here. Enjoyed the coffee. The pie was OK but could do with more fillings. The staff were very friendly. Overall nice little local cafe for a stopover.

After a night in Martinborough, we grabbed brekkie here before walking to the train station. It was a complete hidden gem, in the absolute middle of nowhere, the town is so quiet. We ordered and service was very fast, no alterations to the menu but thats ok as the dishes were done so well. Soft boiled eggs, kransky, guacamole, smoked cream cheese, chives and ryde soldiers $14 - great dish!! beautiful presentation and tasty

Went here with my mum and toddler son for lunch, amazing food with the side salad being the standout dish and the pizza amazing too. Really quick food service and great attentive staff.

We often pop over from Maymorn to have breakfast at the Everest.
Great food and ambiance - well supported by the locals.

We also always leave with a few loaves of fresh bread. The fig and nut is a must - if they still make it.

After breakfast, a pop in at the cheese and the antique shops next door is also a treat.

Everest Cafe has outstanding food and service, I find comments relating to how great cornucopia was interesting as when it first opened was very good, but sadly after the down-sizing of the shop and when the then owners put their focus in Martinborough, service and quality suffered.

As for Peter I's comments, this is a case of double standards and bias, this gentleman, when owned and run Cafe Trends, used to buy in inferior or cheaper fish and market it as something completely different, and also used a lot of cheaper and poor ingredients on his menu, he openly admits being friendly with Tony, thus this all seems quite biased and motivated by personal means.

Everest Cafe has really lifted their game and the food is very good, tasty and the coffee is fine also. These new owners took over after this business was left floundering, and previous patrons were neglected. I've been a frequent user of this cafe since it first opened under the Cornucopia guise. I've eaten at a lot of fine eateries and this ranks as a very good establishment, where food and customer service is paramount for a most enjoyable casual or dining experience.

The 4 of us enjoyed a fantastic evening meal here. The Staff were extremely polite and efficient, and the meals were superb.
If one had to be " picky " the yorkshire pudding was limp, but all the other ingredients were of excellent quality.
We'll all be back

Its "hat-eating & humble pie" time! After my lunch experiences, I read the advice of "Barry" & had an early dinner lately! The owners were on the "tools" & it showed! Great dinner, Calamari was a killer & Beef was grand! Couldnt shift a "sticky", but will persevere! Thank you! To Warren H- "Pi-rho-alpha-tau"!

This cafe has been open for about 4 weeks. It used to be Cornucopia.

I ordered a flat white with an extra shot and the Big Breakfast.

The lady who took my order was friendly and smiled, very welcoming. The coffee was good and strong, and hot. Breakfast took about 20 mins to arrive and was served by one of the guys working in the Kitchen who didn't smile very much, but, was polite.

The Big Breakfast consisted of Sour dough, bacon, poached eggs, locally made sausage from Greytown Butchers, Mushrooms, Potatoes, Minute Steak and Tomato's. Great breakfast and at $18.50 is probably about right.

The Cafe was busy with a mix of Mums and kids as well as retired people and folk coming in to order take away coffee.

The only negative, and, a very minor detail was that there was no salt and pepper on the tables or the offer of any Ketchup or HP Sauce with my breakfast.

All in all a nice Cafe, good atmosphere, very good coffee and the food is great. A definite stop off when coming over the Hill and reaching Featherston.

Lovely Cafe on SH2 coming into Featherston. Can park on the side street if no room on the main drag and walk for 2 mins. Clean and nice atmosphere/decor. Friendly service and they were great with the kids too when my 7yo wanted to order by himself at the counter etc. Got the eggs bene which was delish, the hollandaise wasn't what I'd call a traditional one, possibly had pesto/herbs or something in it? But it was tasty! Big breakfast was also good. Reasonabley priced, some cabinet options too. Coffee was great. Only gave 4/5 because there's always room to grow! Will be back.

Stopped for a coffee and some breakfast. Excellent coffee. Had scrambled eggs, very good, and beans not so good. Too spicy for me. Prefer the traditional beans.

New owners and we arrived yesterday 11.30 not busy 3 adults 3 children and we had plenty to choose from. My husband always at a new place goes with a big breakfast it usually gives us a good guide to how they fair , and was not disappointed wow portions size was amazing 2 well sized kumara rosti, 2 slices sourdough 2 eggs bacon good helping, sausage homemade beans, mushrooms, tomato it was amazing value I'm thinking it was $26 , infact 3 of us had the big brekie, I had eggs Bennie on rosti with bacon huge portion of bacon and I did have salmon as that had to be a side order did find that odd as I didn't want bacon but they didn't swop I had to pay for the salmon as extra so I had bacon as well. I'm usually very fussy with the hollandaise but I didn't even ask this time actually forgot and I was not disappointed.. we had a chat with the owner and chief to give them some feed back, which was good.. Excellent value for money and really good quality which is rare to find these days well done guys we will be back . Staff were pleasant too & coffee good thanks for a great experience.

Stopped by for a late breakfast and was impressed. Quite a wide selection to choose from. Very friendly staff. Saw the lady at the counter come over and ask everyone about their experience with the food. I had a Big Breakfast and it had a good variety of different foods. My wife had Eggs with Sourdough. It was done well, just the way she wanted it. The Cappuccino was great as well. There is an outdoor section as well, which is what we chose and enjoyed the sun.
